I say this. Say "f*** 205" and just have a tourney for a 205 Champion. Have the champion fight guys in other weight classes and the reason he's champion isn't because he's the guy with the best, it's because he's the most impressive guy under 205. If there's someone they think is better? Have said person go against the champion and the winner is the champion until someone else is as impressive under that weight limit. Sure they wouldn't do it but I'm trying to find a way to have the 205 guys mingle with other talent. I'd just kill 205 Live at this point. Dump most of the guys in NXT, keep Gulak and maybe Kendrick on the main roster, and cut the ones they don't intend to do anything with. The whole division's just been more trouble than it's worth. Have the rest of the Zo Train (plus TJP) help Almas beat Gargano at TakeOver and become Los Ingobernables de NXT.

WWE is lucky Enzo caught the flu when he did. At least they don't have to try and write him out of the Mixed Match Challenge.

I’m not going to rush to any judgment (I work for a Public Defenders Office, so innocent until proven guilty is pretty deeply instilled in me), but the fact that WWE has now outright released him rather than suspending him pending a resolution of the case does not bode well for Enzo. According to their stated policy, that means they’ve reviewed whatever facts are available to this extraordinarily early point in the case and decided that, whether or not he’s guilty of a crime, the factual circumstances under which he’s been accused constitute a violation of the so-called “morals clause.” It’s also very strange to me that as far as i can tell, it’s gotten to this point without there being some kind of statement from Enzo or his lawyers. Even something like “we are not going to comment on this ongoing investigation”. The silence is deafening. Has any news come out that Enzo was even aware he was being investigated? I haven’t seen any and I could see a scenario where Enzo was just as “blindsided” as WWE. Typically, when a high-level felony case like this in the investigative phase, the police wouldn’t be letting a suspect know. That’d just be incentive to try and cover something up or run off - in my experience, you’re usually not notified you’re a suspect until very close to the point that charges are going to be filed. I don’t know one way or another, just curious if that’s the actual stated reason he was released.

Unbelievable. Released with no proof. Hopefully he is cleared and gets his job back. He was most likely released for the fact he knew about the investigation and didn't tell them about it. Innocent or guilty that's just a phenomenally stupid thing to do that opened the door for WWE to potentially end up in some serious hot water. Yeah, I think that's the key part here. As soon as I saw one of the top tweets saying "he knew about the allegations but didn't clue WWE in," his release made sense. He'd have been screwed even if he had done that anyway, I figure, but it'd have been something that resembles responsibility - but for the bosses to find out the same time Joe Q. Public does......that's not good in any corporate sense.

Innocent until proven guilty. I know some might not be shocked that Enzo got fired but I can’t believe it — there has been no charge against him and we don’t know what has happened - if it’s true then he deserves what happens to him if it’s not true then he has lost his dream job through a false accusation

Guaranteed they'll find more success that way than keeping this stupid division afloat. Can't say I disagree, even as someone who finds 205 Live way more entertaining than either Raw or SD. No one on that show is over besides Enzo and maybe Gulak and Tozawa a little bit.

I would assume being a suspect in a rape investigation and not letting your employer know constitutes a violation of the morals clause haha. I’m still stunned by Enzo and/or his legal team’s silence up to this point, but that statement is probably forthcoming.

This probably didn't help things much either. Oh, I think this was VERY much a factor, if true Even if he unearthed video evidence of his alibi being that he was too busy curing cancer, not telling your bosses that push you on TV every week that you're ACCUSED OF RAPE is going to get you shitcanned.

I'm not saying you cannot have the innocent until proven guilty as your feeling on these things, just it is not something held to by private parties.

Yep I don't feel bad for Enzo let the mocking begin.

Gotta commend WWE here. Releasing him was the appropriate action even if it was just to save company face.

Not to mention that if he handled this properly (well, as properly as possible, under the courtesy of assumption of innocence until proven guilty), he may have been able to have access to WWE's legal department. Sure as shit not now.
