Bayley would be interesting, if perhaps a longshot. They have plenty of history, too.
Nia would be fun. If they did it, I hope it'd be clean or at least not due to interference, like if they wanted to protect Asuka in the loss, maybe having something like Asuka getting sent into the turnbuckle or something rough and being worn down for Nia to capitalize on.

See, the problem with it being Nia now that they announce Rousey’s on Raw is that you either have Rousey challenge Alexa for the title at WrestleMania right away or you have Asuka challenge Charlotte after beating someone who is set up to face Alexa instead.
And yes, I know Ronda’s likely in the tag match but a part of them must be thinking it’s a prospect if none of the pieces work out.
But yeah, hopefully if Nia wins you at least have it somehow set up something else and not have it be clean to protect Asuka.

There's only one person I want to see beat Asuka, and it sure as hell isn't Ronda Rousey. ![](https://i.imgur.com/676UBR4.gif) The day Ember turns up and finally beats the hell out of Asuka and scores a pinfall will be the most cathartic thing WWE has ever aired.

Would be nice to build Ronda up slowly and keep her undefeated
Keep Asuka and Ronda apart for months and months... then tease it with a backstage segment. A 1 on 1 spot in the rumble.... then mania match

Nobody is ready for Asuka. Nobody better than Kanyon It's fate. So what you are saying, give Asuka the Mortis gimmick? I'm down.

The wrestler who should beat Asuka’s parents haven’t met yet.

Ember, Kairi, or Bayley.
It’s gonna be an underdog babyface who gets a huge rub out of it if they have half a brain amongst the booking team.

It’s kind of a lost cause now, if they really wanted to save and resurrect Bayley. Asuka would have won the belt at summerslam right around her debut. Dominates turn heel/tweener like she was towards the end of her NXT run. In the meantime Bayley begins her redemption story arc, admits that she was failing and lacking that killer instinct. She wins the rumble and challenges and beats Asuka for her first loss at Mania to complete the story. Maybe they can try to do this at summerslam?

I don't see Nia as ready for to defeat Asuka. She still looks very green in the ring and seems to botch an awful lot.
They took her from NXT way too early.

Ronda beats Asuka. Steph beats Ronda. Nobody beats Steph.
That's the endgame here folks. Calling it now.

It can't be Bayley because she just isn't very over any more, although that would be perfect if built right.
Alexa would require a screwy finish and you really can't book the end of. Streaks should end with a clean job.
Sasha is generally a choke artist in big matches.
Charlotte is the only viable full time option other than possibly Kairi, but it is very likely to be Rousey.

My post from the Chamber thread a week back. Just watched RAW. Are the really going to break Asuka's streak before Mania? I mean they f***ed up Charlotte's PPV streak before Mania last year. Making Bayleys win mean shit at Mania.

Both the "Darkest Timelines" of Ronda beating Asuka and Stephanie beating Asuka have been done, so I'm going with the third of the "Darkest Timeline" level losses:
Asuka keeps beating women, without breaking much of a sweat.
Asuka beats all the women on Raw.
Women on Smackdown try to fight Asuka, no one on Smackdown is ready for Asuka.
The NXT women get called up- they get beaten down. Nikki Cross looks like she's a joke. Ember Moon is destroyed without a problem. The Iconic Duo get beaten in a 2-on-1 match. Kairi Sane gets beaten easily. Shayna Baszler tries to fight- but Asuka beats her cleanly.
And that sets the tone for the big Summerslam match- Ronda Rousey trying to do what her friend can't and beat Asuka.
She doesn't. Asuka beats Ronda. Actually without breaking a sweat.
This gets Stephanie's attention. Asuka's unstoppable, but Stephanie is the queen of the division and wants to prove her dominance. Stephanie goes after Asuka. They fight and it's prepared.
Stephanie is beaten in 17 seconds. Asuka's dominant.
And there, Asuka is the unstoppable force. She's dominated the women's division. There is no one left Asuka hasn't beaten- and if NXT women try, Asuka beats them summarily. Asuka is at the pinnacle of women's wrestling and no one can stop her...but now, the fans know that there's still one pinnacle Asuka hasn't gone to.
Slowly, but surely, Asuka hears the doubters. The fans are ready, the women are ready to see Asuka graduate, Stephanie was so convinced that she's ready.
Everyone in the WWE, and slowly including Asuka, just know the time is right.
It's time for Asuka to start fighting the men.
Asuka announces she's abdicating the Women's Title to enter the men's division. It's seen as one of the biggest moments in women's wrestling- the moment a woman graduates to fighting men on her dominance and talent alone. The entire women's division comes out to congratulate Asuka. It's seen as a big achievement for the women for Asuka to do this.
Her first match in the men's division is set for the next Pay-Per-View. It's sold as a huge deal.
...and Curt Hawkins breaks his losing streak by summarily dispatching Asuka with no real trouble.

It needs to be Ember Moon at next years Mania. The story build up could be epic.

The last MMA Beater that ended a prominent streak didn't particularly go over well... Yeah I know he was in WWE before that but his whole gimmick has been MMA Monster since he came back.

I'm kinda surprised that Becky hasn't been mentioned once, especially with the underdog bit. I mean Becky does a great fiery babyface but she can also do underdog. That doesn't mean I think it'd be Becky, but if it was, I'd be down for that. With a good build I think it'd be great.
I just sincerely hope it's not Ronda or Nia (Nia is good in multiperson matches, not sure she's really there in singles yet I think). If Bayley were built properly she could totally do it. I wouldn't be surprised if Charlotte returned to Raw and was the one to beat Asuka (though likely not on the first try). I haven't seen NXT so I can't comment to Ember though for that they'd have to play up their history, maybe a video package.
