Misread the title as Asuka's first love so am relieved to not find fan fiction here.
Bayley, Ember Moon and Becky Lynch are all good shouts. Ultimately would go with Ember Moon with Asuka beating her a few times first before she puts something on the line (career, right to challenge for the title ever again) and finally gets the monkey off her back. Play it like the Punk/Morrison feud of a few years ago.

I just hope it is wasted in on an episode of Smackdown with no hype to the match

Like I posted on mania thread I think asula career is over. Expect her to job to Alexa ad nauseum. Look how quick kairi got delimited too Dunn and Vince doesn't want to push Japanese wrestler who can't cut long scripted promos. Bet asuka unable to do it made Vince decide to end the streak now, and how asuka vowed to Charlotte hinting she is no longer the empress of tomorrow, yikes

And the best part is going to come when Asuka beats her in a completely hollow rematch with the above winning it right back on the next PPV.

I would say something like "Yikes, SMH" but I've just become numb to moves like this from the old man. It is what it is. Nothing matters.

There is no good way to end a steak but it has to happen at some point. Asuka won't be in WWE for the long term I'd imagine while Charlotte is the face of the Women's division now and for the foreseeable future. Would I have rather seen it ended differently, yeah I've been saying Asuka should have beat Flair, turn heel injuring Asuka, and Carmella cash in her MITB. I don't have a problem with that match other than it becoming a backdrop for Cena to run off.

Would've been better to have her win and then lose the streak and title to the next big time call up at SummerSlam or next year at WrestleMania. This was a waste of her streak and a bad call, IMO.

Yeah, I was more underwhelmed by how abrupt it was and disappointed by Carmella not cashing in than anything. Asuka's streak has been an albatross for way too long at this point.

if they were to end it that soon, i'd prefer they would've given the rub to Moon, and not the last person on the roster who needed it.

I’m fine with her losing. I just wish that Charlotte had worked the leg more to set it up and they didn’t have Asuka do that promo after the match and look so happy to have lost. Pretty much killed Asuka’s catchphrase in one fell swoop. Whatever though.

My biggest issue is her losing to the last person that need sone. That they give ALL the accolades they can think of.

I was fine with this. It actually fit the story of the match. Both evaded any attempts at the other's signature submission. Both submissions have been guilt as match enders so it made sense that the first one to lock hers in would win. It was about as good a way to end Asuka's streak as there could have been.
It also continues this unique story that New Orleans is the place streaks go to die.

OR, you spend the next two years having Asuka vanquish all comers, while also building up Bayley, and then, at Wrestlemania in two years, you have Bayley dethrone Asuka in the main event of the show. It writes itself. It's really simple!

It is not the fact she lost the streak as I wanted it to end but it was more about who got to end it and Charlotte was amongst the last people that needed another tacked on accomplishment.
All they had to do IMO was wait for Ember to get the call up...the story was right there they did not have to do anything else except just build off their history and it would have immediately secured Ember a top of the division.

It's been due as Ember should have got that before Asuka was called up

If the streak was going to end, it should've been someone else. Like I've said over and over, it was Charlotte because of nepotism. Asuka DAMN SURE should've have kissed her ass after the match. It was gross and god awful/typical WWE booking.
I don't like her at all, but Ember would've made the most sense. They have the history to work with.
