Anyone discover or rediscover any channels during the fallout from all this? Been watching a shitload of PushingUpRoses, who I had somehow missed out on seeing during her tenure (well, not surprising. CA was not very good for helping people not get lose in the shuffle or showcasing newcomers). I've really enjoyed her stuff, though, quite a nice backlog to go through. Also been watching Marzgurl, who I had been a fan of but kinda lost track of for a while. Watching Allison, too, largely Obscurus Lupa stuff I missed the first go-round. I like what she's doing nowadays more, but it's fun to see her roots. This whole business does suck, but there's been a definite silver lining to it, too. Been catching up on Linkara, after not watching a non Power Rangers episode of his since that first Nu-52 one (The Bloodening or something?) merely due to falling out of habit.

Yeah, I definitely remembered how much I loved Marz, Diamanda Hagen, and Todd In The Shadows out of all this.

Oh look. Desperation. Damn, and I thought I was late getting around to reviewing that. To answer, the question, I've gradually been getting into some of Brad Jones's stuff.

My favorite thing about Linkara is the video that Rocco from Mega64 made about his Power Rangers videos.

I probably should check out more shows. Really only ones I actively follow are Brad, Phelous, Lupa, and Bennett (not counting SF Debris, since I learned of him independently of the site and have never really associated him with it) and I'll watch stuff from Todd and Linkara when I see they've done something that catches my eye. Lot of people I used to follow but really don't at this point, Lindsay offhand. Really lost all interest in her when she shut everything down for Lord of the Rings and 50 Shades of Grey stuff for months on end and not had any desire to look into what she's doing now.
Do occasionally watch Film Brain's stuff, but it's just the old BMBs. I find Projector just plain boring.

I’ve definitely gotten back in the habit of watching Linkara and Brad’s videos since this all happened

Sage is also having his 200th and we have no idea what he's reviewing. Knowing him, there's some piece of 80's/90's crap that he just wants to give a full blown burial.

I dunno, Sage has gone pretty notable with previous milestone episodes - wouldn't really call Macross Plus, MD Geist, or Elfen Lied that obscure.

Pieces of crap may or may not be obscure And he only really pulled the "milestone" thing on no. 100, and that was for MD Geist which was something he had hinted at before and had it's share of infamy (although for different reasons than the typical schlock one could get back then). Thing is, outside of actually reviewing Violence Jack (which I just don't see him doing), I really don't know what he could review, either good or bad. I could see him tackling Space Battleship Yamato/Star Blazers, Last Exile, Serial Experiment Lain, or some real uncomfortable crap... like Boku no Pico (yeah, I know it's past his cutoff date, still).

I will say this whole thing has led me to watching a lot of Guru Larry. His fact hunt videos are amazing, I wish I'd started years ago.

Idk if it counts, because he's not Channel Awesome, but this and the Spoony retrospective were how I got into Fredrik Knudsen/Down the Rabbit Hole.

Same, though I'm in a little bit of an odd place on him in that I like his livestream stuff WAY more than his actual videos. Kind of too dry for my tastes.

Sometimes comes across a little bit meanspirited for my tastes, but he definitely finds some really interesting topics to cover, and there's this audacity that he has that can be fun. Definitely can't say he pulls punches, if nothing else.

He deserves no pulled punches for the rest of his life.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Lindsey. Her Disney stuff is always on point, as was her evisceration of Bright. Yeah her Hobbit Review was on point. That said haven't really watched any people I haven't been. Todd, Brad, Larry, and occasionally Linkara but I've dropped of a bit on him. I do still go back and rewatch Spoony's Ultima Retrospective as I think those are probably the best videos he's done.

I like the Ultima videos a lot but my favorites are probably the Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2 reviews, Terror's Realm, Mazes and Monsters, and Skullduggery. Probably some of the early Counter Monkeys too, back when it was, "Let me tell you a crazy D&D story," instead of, "Let me read a book at you for two hours."
