With the amount of podcasts available these days the amount of backstage stories on the Internet it's hard to believe which ones are true or not.
Which rumours have you heard that are so unbelievable to you?

Anything with Vince acting like either a 14 year old or a maniac is pretty much instant truth to me.

Chris Benoit:
Throwing Miz out of the locker room and making him change in the hallway. Making Davari almost bleed squating. Kevin Sullivan
The good thing with the Miz story for those that didn't hear, one day Undertaker asked him: "Why are you changing in the hallway?" "Benoit? "HE'S DEAD"

The thing about Benoit and the squats is that he and Rob Conway would do them as exercise. Daivari voluntarily tried them. It wasn't punishment and there are other wrestlers throughout the years that would do crazy exercise routines. Is it crazy, sure, but others did comparable things.

I really didn't want to believe that Vince didn't knew who Metallica was but I'm now inclined to believe it.
I also hoped that Laurinaitis signing the wrong one legged guy was just a joke but apparently John legit signed the guy. I don't know how he still has a job.

I would say "wouldn't most corporations have at least one line of failsafe against this?", but we're talking about WWE.

D'von won a bet against.... somebody and would make them do pushups at random times backstage.

Allegedly Laurinaitis was told, "Johnny we want this kid Tenacious Z, his name is Zack Gowen, he's 18 years old from the Detroit area, he moved great despite only having one leg." So John was told the name, his age, and his location. Despite having all the information, Laurinaitis signed a forty year old guy who quit wrestling years ago and wasn't Zack Gowen. That's the biggest example of incompetence in the history of wrestling.

Steve Blackman Roundhouse Kicking JBL unconscious for trying to f*** with him in an airport made Steve Blackman one of my all time favorite wrestlers by default.

D'von won a bet against.... somebody and would make them do pushups at random times backstage. That would've been Batista. He talked about that in his book and mentioned he had to do push-ups at an airport one time while trying to make their flight.

Vince McMahon not signing because he thought Go Shiozaki wasn't "too Asian". That definitely happened.

I would say "wouldn't most corporations have at least one line of failsafe against this?", but we're talking about WWE. And this led to a hilarious exchange on commentary during the Kevin Nash Open Invitational X-Division Gauntlet Battle Royal for Bound for Glory, with Nash doing a Big Johnny impression about signing the right one-legged wrestler and telling Tenay and West, "that was dynamic you two dudes."
