D'von won a bet against.... somebody and would make them do pushups at random times backstage. That would've been Batista. He talked about that in his book and mentioned he had to do push-ups at an airport one time while trying to make their flight. Batista also had to do push ups during a promo on Byte This, and then made some comment about respecting the locker room, or something

I believe any involving Vince.
Including him le@ving a meeting in stunned silence after the writer goosestepped around his office. Which might be my favorite Vince story.
The mental image of him packing his briefcase and just leaving without a word.

Vince McMahon not signing because he thought Go Shiozaki wasn't "too Asian". That definitely happened. Not sure if you're serious... because that was a joke that started on this board. I read it on both Rajah and Wrestletaint. Say what you want about one of those, but Wrestletaint is legit.

MVP attacking HHH in the shower with a screwdriver sounds a bit hard to believe.

I totally believe "Excellent Question Shelton" happened I buy it, given he had probably never seen Tarver in his life before then. In a crowd from across a big room, I could buy him thinking it as Shelton, the resemblance isn't at all strong but not wildly implausible. More confusing was Xavier Woods saying Vince called him Zeke once. Guessing Woods was either kidding, or Vince was bad with names.

I would say "wouldn't most corporations have at least one line of failsafe against this?", but we're talking about WWE. Allegedly Laurinaitis was told, "Johnny we want this kid Tenacious Z, his name is Zack Gowen, he's 18 years old from the Detroit area, he moved great despite only having one leg." So John was told the name, his age, and his location. Despite having all the information, Laurinaitis signed a forty year old guy who quit wrestling years ago and wasn't Zack Gowen. That's the biggest example of incompetence in the history of wrestling. It wouldn't be the last time. WWF missed out on signing Big Show first, as someone, I forget who, was told about him, but never followed through on it. It may have been Jay Strongbow's screw up, as he was notoriously lazy about talent scouting when he was meant to hire local jobbers, and would usually delegate it to people and pay them instead of actually checking if they were any good, which is how Jeff Hardy got on TV at like 16, since Jay just took someone's word for it that he was legit. So, I don't know if he had a general scouting job at the time, or just the jobbers. MVP attacking HHH in the shower with a screwdriver sounds a bit hard to believe. Also began on this forum, I believe. Additionally, MVP apparently found it hilarious.

Asked about the weirdest rumor he ever heard about himself, MVP said: www.sbnation.com/2015/4/10/8377903/wwe-wrestlers-on-farting-in-the-gymHe also mentioned it on Twitter.

Chris Benoit: Throwing Miz out of the locker room and making him change in the hallway. Making Davari almost bleed squating. Kevin Sullivan The good thing with the Miz story for those that didn't hear, one day Undertaker asked him: "Why are you changing in the hallway?" "Benoit? "HE'S DEAD" If taker legit said that I love him more now. It's stuff like this that makes me love Miz even more. The mad had a dream. And god damn if he let anyone stand in the way of it...bullies, assholes; you name it. The man has DRIVE. Wasn't there a thing about all the guys who were kicked out of the locker room and he was the only one who actually got back in or some such? I forget where I saw the quote now, or who said it, but I distinctly remember hearing how Miz continued to dress in the hall or broom closets or wherever for ages after Benoit passed still honouring the request. Undertaker approached him one time and asked why he was still doing so, Miz says because Benoit threw him out; Taker just says “Benoit’s dead” and brings Miz back in. From this thread: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/570457/benoit-slaps-out-mizI also sincerely hope this is true. A dead man calling another man, DEAD!

I absolutely believe that a significant factor, perhaps the most significant factor, in Daniel Bryan being sidelined so long was that he was too over and they didn't want to push him. Especially after the comments we've seen about Bryan's health from non-WWE doctors.

I prefer the version of CM Punk having massive heat to include him wearing a fur coat, chains and hat like some sort of pimp.

I believe every Vince story, that Daniel Bryan was fired because Triple H's kid cried, Christian and the Malaysian slaves,Carlito being told to "spic it up" before a promo, "good question,Sheldon" and snuka not talking to police because Vince told him to kayfabe.

can I just say I'm really tired of that silly rumour about Randy Savage and Steph getting trotted out like it's somehow even remotely true?

Christian definitely has some Malaysian slaves. Christian has the best backstage stories. He should write an autobiography.

The Jim Duggan dildo blender story will always be canon as far as I'm concerned.

It took place on the week of the Great American Bash in July 2008. Tarver started wrestling on FCW house shows in May and didn't wrestle regularly on FCW TV until October. Presumably he was attending that meeting because he was in a dark match the day after the Bash.
