I love how, in spite of everything they've done the past two or three years, the only thing the Movement has accomplished is an April Fool's joke that writes itself. Considering their habit of spamming their hashtag on posts announcing the deaths of famous people, using Snyder's daughter for publicity, and posting shit like this: They're damn luck people only think they're a joke and not something much worse. I hope whoever made that post gets coronavirus.

I hope whoever made that post gets coronavirus. What's crazy is I've personally seen this exact post three times now, from three different accounts, in two different Facebook groups (where they rightfully caught shit for it), which means at least two people saw the original post, thought it was good, copy-pasted it, and reposted it.

I almost feel like I'm guilty of some sort of ableism when I make fun of Snyder-cutters at this point.

I believe we have found the true embodiment of Snyder fandom. Good to see "Martha" is still so raw in the craw of the cult. Imagine Raimi Spider-Man fans getting in their feelings about the emo dance five years later.

Raimi gave us 2 fantastic Spider-Man films, he was forced to do shit in 3 he didn't want to do (Venom, looking in your direction), and what he wanted Spider-Man 3 to be about was the best stuff in the movie.

The intent of the Martha scene makes sense - Superman wins Batman's approval by showing all he cares about as he's dying is a lowly human, fine, I'm with you there, that works.
But there had to be a better way to do it than, "OMG OUR MOMS HAVE THE SAME NAME!" and Superman just calling his mom by her first name for the first time ever for absolutely no reason. Hell, even just saying, "Save Martha Kent," or, "Save my mom," would have accomplished the exact same thing without being anywhere near as stupid.

In the end, they thought a very simple thing would have this big revelation when it really wasn't the case Psychopath Batman only snaps out his blood lust because the man he hates is telling him to save the woman who ironically has the same name as his deceased mother. That's some farfetched shit

Also, it makes no sense to me at all that both Suicide Squad and Justice League are firmly running off the logic of, "The world needs Superman, no one but him can possibly operate at that level," when both of the big crises he'd solved to that point would have been more easily resolved by Wonder Woman and Batman beat his ass without actually having to put in all that much effort.

That part where an alien monster is going to destroy Metropolis and Wonder Woman decides to wait until she's watched some trailers for Justice League to address it is absolutely BRILLIANT writing that you missed.
