People aren't bored of shitting on these movies yet? This is something that certain responses to The Last Jedi crystallized for me: people won't stop complaining when they feel that a studio gets a character wrong. The only real difference between people who complain about Snyder getting Batman and Superman wrong and people who complain that Rian Johnson didn't get Luke Skywalker is the degree to which people dislike movies like MoS and BvS more than they dislike TLJ. I fail to see the difference between statements like "Batman wouldn't do that" and "Luke Skywalker wouldn't do that." I've been a fan who has complained about characters being done incorrectly before, but after seeing the stupidity of the backlash to TLJ emerge in real-time, it seems like a waste of time to engage in tediousness. These complaints often come from a certain sense of entitlement about who knows more about a character, who has spent more money on a character, who has dedicated X number of years following a character, who cares more about characters like Robin, She-Ra, Lion-O, and the Ghostbusters, than those who don't, and so on. At this point, just because a modern representation doesn't match my nostalgia for an older version doesn't mean that it's bad or wrong. It's just not for me, and that's perfectly okay.

Good. Certainly no one's looking for you to be bleeding at the scalp. I'm bald. I was way before this though.

I just wonder if the trauma of constantly making yourself relive the horrors of these movies could trigger it again? Let's hope not.

Oh, well with talk of the excruciating experiences of having to watch them, I would think you would suffer from some kind of cinematic PTSD, even after so many years removed from the initial viewings. Thrilled this is not the case.

Every dark pointlessly grey desaturated movie has a silver lining.

See, now, that's no way to keep your chin up. Hating something that hasn't even happened yet is sure to darken that silver lining of yours, and we wouldn't want that to happen.

I think Snyder could potentially do something with Batman in a solo outing, but his take on Superman is just....wrong. Brooding, dark Superman that doesn't want to help people is a crap take on the character that no one could possibly get behind.
Psychotic, on the edge Batman having a serious change in how he does business could potentially be interesting. The problem is that Snyder tossed this out there with no context. I'm assuming Bruce Wayne was angry and haunted by The Joker killing Jason Todd/Robin given that one scene of Bruce staring at Robin's defaced costume, but we have no connection to this whatsoever. No flashback, no previous movie, nothing. So the whole idea of Batman branding people, not caring if he kills bad guys anymore, generally being a burned out lunatic...none of it really makes sense.

Synder killed off Jimmy Olsen without a second thought to the character. Still perplexed by that and really did a disservice to the character.
