I was absolutely stunned when AJ pinned him there, because the Clash really hasn't been the most protected move in WWE like it was in New Japan (seriously, did anyone kick out of that during AJ's run there?) Nakamura did at Wrestle Kingdom 10, but it was slightly modified as Styles used it to escape a triangle choke. Right. I thought Nak kicked out, but it's been awhile since I watched that and couldn't remember if AJ ever hit it

So dissapointing. They never got out of second gear. So much lying around. I'm starting to think that the Roode/ Nakamura NXT stinkers were down more to Shinsuke than Bobby.
He just isn't that motivated.
Goes to show that you cant just go 'THIS MATCH IS GONNA BE GREAT OH MY GOD YOU GUYS WATCH AND SEE'. You need a build. You need a storyline. You need to get the crowd invested in your match. The crowd were DEAD for this. And they did nothing to get them involved.

I thought it was good, real good. But all the 5 star classic stuff in the build worked hard against it, as that almost always does, sadly.

I watched the match with music on instead of commentary to make my own judgment. ...well, it blew. They didn't even try to tell a story, they just exchanged moves without counters (with the exception of the ending), and called it a day. I don't think they were forced to perform this way, after all they were given 20 minutes, the longest match of the night alongside Rhonda's. Heck, this fanmade match has better storytelling than the actual match www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7_XqqOChdw
