Nakamura has to win this after what's happened at WM and the GRR. If he doesn't then f*** that wouldn't be a good move. Yeeeeah, Nakamura's dangerously close to choke artist status as it is. He's kinda f***ed if he loses here. also god damn I just want this AJ title reign to end so that he can maybe go back to not being miserably bland.

Styles needs to step it up because I'm bored as hell with him right now. I don't like him as a face champion. If they let Nakamura lose I wonder why because this is getting ridiculous.

I feel like they're going to jump the gun on this Cass / Bryan thing and have Cass win. Most logical thing to do would be see how good a match Bryan can drag out of him and have Bryan basically get throttled and win in a fluky way through experience, which'd both give Bryan his first singles win since coming back and play directly into Cass's current character, but very likely they'll just jump the gun to, "Cass wins, rawr, scary monster!"

I thought it was very obvious Big Cass is gonna win this. I'd be honestly surprised if he doesn't.

I'm going to say Lashley turns on Braun after they win or lose. He needs it.

I'm going to say Lashley turns on Braun after they win or lose. He needs it. Really I think they've kind of booked themselves into a corner even bothering to have that match on the show. Lashley turning on Braun would absolutely be the right call, and really the only reason for the match to happen, but even with miscommunication it's hard to buy the idea of them losing given Braun's the guy who just won the tag titles singlehandedly and Owens and Zayn are the guys who just lost pretty much two-on-one against a guy half Braun's size.

Pretty decent card. Throw in Sasha Vs Bayley and Cedric Alexander vs Buddy Murphy on the preshow and we are all set!

And now what we're left with from bringing back co-branded PPVs is the midcard getting shafted because of how many 'important' guys need to show up every month.
Sigh. I'll miss the curtain jerkers.

I see Big Cass going over also, but I'm thinking it leads to a rematch where Daniel Bryan gets the win to close out the feud and start up with Miz.

No tag team matches? Maybe they will add a Bludgeon Brothers squash or a Hardy/Wyatt backstage thing.

AJ vs. Nakamura has to end with Styles basically annihilating Shinsuke's balls.

I feel like AJ should finally counter a Shinsuke low blow at the PPV, but Shinsuke should aim higher (like maybe an eye poke) and get the victory.

Not since Orton/Michaels has a dick punch ever played such a pivotal role in a World Title match.

I'm really split on if I'm going to bother with this show honestly. It's not a bad card really, but a lot of it's just this giant pile of, "So what?" to where it just kind of feels like nothing about it matters. Should've waited until after this show to do the shakeup because it's just left this card a bunch of matches that barely have any reason to be (especially in conjunction with Greatest Royal Rumble) and it'd be easier to work around that with Money in the Bank since it'll probably have cross-brand matches for the briefcases anyway.

No tag team matches? Maybe they will add a Bludgeon Brothers squash or a Hardy/Wyatt backstage thing. It's better there's no Tag Title Match at Backlash. That way we don't get another Usos/Bludgeon Brothers Match or Hardy & Wyatt defending against a team without a build since they just won the belts on Friday. Both Tag Team Divisions just changed after the Superstar Shake-Up. Let them build first. It's better to save the Tag Title Matches for Money In The Bank, so the Mid-Card Champions can be used in the Money In The Bank Match itself.

AJ is fine with me right now, but they gotta strap Nakamura up here because he's hot right now and AJ would be more interesting as the chaser.

Bayley vs. Ruby Riott is scheduled for the countdown show, per WWE’s Facebook page.
