I haven’t watched nbc ever since they killed off earl community and ended parks and rec and the office and 30 rock and sent scrubs to abc.
Good to have a reason to watch this channel again.

So where do I bribe NBC to save The Mick and Last Man on Earth? I loved both shows and both ended with cliffhangers.

So instead of B99, we're getting a comedy about a crusty old guy who grumbles on his soapbox about how people with different views than him are idiots and losers who will never amount to anything. Last Man Standing did significantly better ratings then Brooklyn Nine Nine ever did. They averaged close to double the viewers B99 did each season, so it’s not like this is some reckless business decision. I love B99, but it’s not like it was some ratings juggernaut. Plus, LMS targets a demo that is more likely to watch live, rather than DVR and/or wait for Netflix and binge watch

The ratings lost like a million people season over season. It’s cool for people who actually watched the show, but I hated it.

I felt bad about it being cancelled because it always made me laugh but I just stopped watching it for some reason. Good to hear it's coming back.

And it just dawned on me again...B99 = Universal = Comcast = NBC. Wonder if we'd ever see a situation where each network contains at least almost nothing but shows from their own production company/companies.

Considering Fox’s TV studios are about to sell, there’s about a 0% chance of that happening

Heck, I think B99 will be entering syndication soon as well and therefore THAT will be run daily.

Hopefully this outcry of support actually lead to better ratings.

Allegedly Gotham is on the bubble as well.
But if Lethal Weapon is canned it is probably safe.
I could see CW potentially picking it up... continuing the trend of the cw pretty much being the DC channel

Hopefully this outcry of support actually lead to better ratings. As I said earlier 99's biggest problem is that people are Netflix and huluing it, which is how its target audience watches television now.

As I said earlier 99's biggest problem is that people are Netflix and huluing it, which is how its target audience watches television now. That’s exactly the issue. B99 is popular as hell, but gets shitty ratings because it’s target audience (myself included) watches it through non-traditional means which kills its ad revenue and makes it less attractive to networks. That’s why LMS is coming back, it’s target audience is 40-70 years olds who are more likely to watch it on TV then they are to wait and binge watch it on Netflix or something.

At least they didn't cancel it before they aired "The Box", the episode where Jake and Holt interrogate Sterling K. Brown for the entire episode. One of the greatest episodes of any show I've ever seen. What WHAT AN EXPLICIT, EPISODE-LENGTH HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET REFERENCE ON BROOKLYN 99? “Peralta, do you know what I miss most about being a detective? A good interrogation. Breaking suspects down. Talking quietly and then talking real loud. Looking away and then looking right in their eyes. Leaning.”- Actual Andre Braugher line from "The Box".

Hell, NBC knows all about that. For all the crap they’ve gotten over the years, the main reason Community was on the air for so long was because they knew it was a getting them credibility from fans and critics at a time when they really needed it. The difference there to B99 is that Sony produced Community so they can probably take the loss internally instead of having to pay another company to keep it going.

I saw something that said NBC might pick it up? Not sure if real, though, and it ain't like I got some fancy search machine that can help me check the validity of such rumor.
