I want this movie to be inexplicably massively successful and lead into a bunch of other bizarre Sega adaptations with f***-all to do with the original. Give me Ecco as a lizard (still called Ecco the Dolphin), Bayonetta as a struggling lawyer, and whatever the hell a two hour American Persona would look like. You jest but wouldn't you want Climax Lawyer Action? I mean you want that prosecutor dodging don't you? Climax Lawyer Action sounds like a Danganronpa minigame. |

It kinda feels like when presented with the list of potential designs, the director picked the wrong one by mistake. That it's so easy to make Sonic look better is rather disappointing.

The apparent surprise at the design backlash reminds me of the story about the producers on the Super Mario Bros movie were convinced that even regardless of how badly the film was getting during production, it would still make bank from kids and families seeing it.
