If Cena made pizzas, half the customer base would hate them. Yeah, but I bet if CM Punk made those same pizzas...

The only time Little Caesar's is better In my pizza days, I bounced between Pizza Hut and Caesar’s. I dunno, it’s not great pizza, but I like it. Only wish more places sold by the slice since as a diabetic, it’s a slice for an entire meal now.

My problem with Little Caesar's is how salty it is. And yes, I know all of the chain pizza places probably have way more sodium in their pizza then is recommended for human consumption, but Little Caesar's is the only one of those places where I actually taste that salt while I'm eating it.
I remember when I went to Delaware a few years back they had a Hungry Howie's there, which I later found out was actually a chain. Pizza was greasy as all hell but it was a good change of pace (especially considering the other pizza place in that town was utterly atrocious).
After hearing about some of the pizzas they served, I always wished Japan's Pizza-La would open a place in the US.

With Little Caesar's you get what you pay for, at least. What I never get with Papa Johns, especially in this part of the country, is that they cost as much, if not more than, local places yet are so much worse.

No doubt he is using strange economics to explain declining sales, but being against those protests doesn't automatically mean he is a racist person. Anyway, it's difficult to talk about this issue without getting into politics unfortunately. Doesn't really affect me if the company is running or not, I just get tired of this mob mentality people have when someone utters a word in an inoffensive context. I am not someone who simply writes off a person for saying one thing wrong. Having said that, f*** that guy. This is the same asshole who literally built a castle with a moat and then complained about having to spend money giving his employees health insurance. This is the same asshole that complained that he was by law being made to pay his employees more than he wanted to and then was heavily fined for stealing wages from those same employees. This was the same guy who blamed the NFL players for his company’s falling fortunes, despite the fact that the players’ protests did not even cause the NFL’s profits to go down. I can’t stand people who can’t own failures and blame others instead. Yeah, i’m long past done giving that guy the benefit of the doubt. The wage thing really was an extremely douchey thing to do, but him being opinionated about declining sales or spending money on health insurance isn't comparable. He dropped the n-word in reference to Colonel Sanders supposedly saying it and getting away it. That's pretty offensive. Context matters though. It wasn't directed towards anyone. Would the same rule apply if a "person of color" were to use the term in that same context? I just find the whole thing silly. Does the guy have a big mouth? Has he been shady with wages in the past? Of course. However, him being fired for using a slur that wasn't directed at someone is ludicrous.

You seem to be continuously missing the point that it wasn't just about the slur.

As for pizza? I used to buy Domino's or Pizza Hut because they're actually nice here, but lately I just put in a local order on JustEat because there's a shit ton of variety takeaways around here and one of them does a great vegan garlic bread I can get with fries and veggie samosas.
Plus if I'm ordering takeout clearly I'm already not in a mood to care about the quality of what I shovel in my face

Does the guy have a big mouth? Has he been shady with wages in the past? Of course. However, him being fired for using a slur that wasn't directed at someone is ludicrous. In context it was directed at an entire race of people. Using the word when he didn't by any stretch have to shows a staggering lack of understanding about anything. You don't have to use that word at a specific person to have used the word in a racist way. The way he did was completely racist. He wasn't reading a quote from a work of Mark Twain in the conference call. He was using his own words. A person of color using the word is an entirely different ballpark. John himself can never possibly know what that word feels like. A person of color is one who could be directly victimized by it and has a capacity and understanding of the word's power. Absolutely entire worlds apart.

I can not ignore the context of him using the word because his statement was intended to condemn racism. This isnt like Hogan where the word was used in a hateful manner. Its the same as when people take vulgar words and make them endearing or how a word like bitch can take on a different meaning. In this case, he was mentioning the absurdity of being called racist for disagreeing with a protest when another restaurant owner got away with making actual racist statements. So many white people these days are being accused of racism, which to me dilutes the seriousness of such an accusation. My suspicion is that there is more to this backlash, but I unfortunately cant discuss that.

So many white people these days are being accused of racism, which to me dilutes the seriousness of such an accusation. My suspicion is that there is more to this backlash, but I unfortunately cant discuss that. There's so much to unpack here that I don't know where to start. First of all, it's not about the damn word. John Schnatter was given an opportunity to fix his brand, and instead, used the opportunity to engage in Whataboutism (and false equivalency, at that, since the Colonel is not on the record as using such language) and then, for who knows why, going off on a tangent about black people being drug to death behind pickup trucks. Two, even if it was just about the word, that'd be fine with me. I find it quite unsettling whenever I come across non-black folks who have such a desire to say a word used to demean and dehumanize us that they wait on the margins for the opportunity to jump in with the word, like some sort of racist hopscotch. He could've easily said "Col. Sanders used racist/inflammatory/discriminatory language" (which, again, there's no physical proof that he ever has), but apparently, he just felt so entitled to use that word... Finally, and this can't be overlooked, Schnatter wasn't fired. He quit. He could've stood his ground, he could've faced the consequences of his words, but he didn't. He quit. He tucked his tail between his legs and scampered off, and he only came back to clarify himself (by which I mean make excuses and blame everybody else) because running away didn't magically make this all go away.
