Now, and I want this to just be limited to jokes about the pizza due to the nature of what got him canned, but the founder of the one pizza franchise responsible for turning quality ingredients into inedible paste left his company today.

Kinda shocked so many people hate Papa John's pizza. Sure the owner was sleazy,but out of the chain pizza places it was way better than Pizza Hutt,which is barely better than those cheap frozen pizza you van get 3 of for 6 bucks.

I haven't had pizza hut in a while, it used to be damned good for chain stuff.

Papa John's has always been the bottom tier of chain pizzas... save for maybe Little Caesar... but Little Caesar realized this and made their stuff cheap as hell. PJ's was awful and about the same if not more expensive than a decent tier local place.

I stopped ordering Papa John’s after his NFL stance. It’s fine for chain. So is Pizza Hut, but not for that price. I could get prime rib dinner for what Pizza Hut thinks food is worth.

See for me Lil Caesar's was always the bottom. Might just be I had a good Papa John's by me when I lived out in TX. Honestly now if I get pizza it is usually from the local place. Sure it is 20 a pizza but it is way better than the other choices in this town,which are Pizza Hutt,Dominos and Hunt Brothers.

For years I hate Dominoes but they changed their pizzas what 10 years ago and they really improved.

Little Caesars is fine, for the price. It’s $5. I’m not throwing that huge of a bitch fit. The mild, uncontrollable shitting after is part of the experience. KFC, same deal, just more expensive.

Domino's is probably my favorite chain pizza, but I prefer local. There's one place here that'll run you $22-25 a pie, but it's worth it.

That being said, when you're flat broke, nothing beats a $5 Hot and Ready.
