is DIE HARD one of the last old school action movies, before the likes of CGI and digital compositing? There were still more to come in the next ten years or so. Like Hard Boiled, Point Break, Last Boy Scout, Speed to name a few. |

HARD BOILED and those other woo movies yeah, same with POINT BREAK, can't remember if there were tricks with LAST BOY SCOUT but defo with SPEED
TRUE LIES was one of the first to use digital compositing with those harriers, they were new to it all as with the shot of the crane and it doesn't match up with the plane .....

I watched Die Hard for the first time last year (at Christmas, actually) and it lived up to the 30 years of hype.
I loved it.
