The same guys who did Into Darkness are in charge right (minus Abrams). If so then it could be worse. Considering I rank Into Darkness above Nemesis, Insurrection, Motion Picture, Search for Spock, Voyage Home, and Final Frontier, I think we may be some way apart on what constitutes "worse". |

Both Discovery and Picard have moved on a lot of the original design, writing, and production crew who wanted to make Trek their own in favour of longtime Trek fans and veterans from the TOS movies, TNG, and DS9. |

Given that Dorn has repeatedly stated how much he's always hated the Worf prosthetics every bit as much as he loved playing the character and has been quite critical of just how heavy and limiting the Discovery prosthetics were, I very much doubt he'd be willing to come back if they intended to change how Worf looks. |

It works fine for post-Enterprise Guinan, but is pretty dumb for the past Guinan to have a bar named Ten Forward. But then, Star Trek as a whole is riddled with dumb inconsistencies, so it's nothing new. |

But then, Star Trek as a whole is riddled with dumb inconsistencies, so it's nothing new. It's 10th on Forward Street. Hence, 10 Forward. Dumb in canon coincidence yes, but there is a method to the madness. |

The Enterprise bar was named Ten Forward because it was the forward section of deck ten, and was not unique to the Enterprise, so her setting up the bar at that address after leaving the Enterprise has logic to it. Less so her having it at that location in a timeline where the Galaxy-class doesn't even exist yet. It's dumb, but hardly worth the fuss some people are making over it. |

It's dumb because it is contrived and lazy and exists only for the writers to say "see, Ten Forward, that's the thing from TNG, remember? Yeah? Do you remember? The thing from the old thing?" to the audience.

Matalas and Blass taking over as Picard's showrunners was such a 180 for the show in terms of quality. Love that they brought Okuda back, too.

I know I was a bit snarky before, but I love me some Worf. I know some people don't like the Worf episodes of TNG, but they were probably my favs (Yes, even the Alexander ones lololololol). So I am always up for more Worf.
And you know I sorta do want the old band back together thing because I honestly felt the episode on Riker's bungalo planet was one of the better episodes of Picard season one because Picard himself felt the most... Picardish? When he was interacting with Will and Diana it just felt... right? I dunno.
And yes, can we not have endless season long the universe is going to end plots because jeez if someone so much as slips up for a second the universe is gonna implode - what with there being some galaxy ending threat every season on every show lately.
