That’s Lioness....
Wow they added the match I always wanted to see. Alundra Blayze vs Lioness Asuka dark match that was supposed to air on December 2nd 1995 Superstars. Asuka gets a concussion in the match which is pretty evident and probably why this didn’t air but they still aired the Kong/Asari match

That title is a total bait and switch. Related to Jack Pfefer by any chance?

Even though her release was still a few weeks away, I'm wondering if Alundra already knew that the WWF was looking to dump her and the Woman's Title. She looked checked out walking to the ring and for most of the match, and looked pissed when it was over.
And yeah, you can see the moment that Lioness got that concussion.

Cool to see Lioness Asuka in a WWE ring. Yes, I know she was in the Survivor Series match which was two days before this took place. She actually worked a few WWE shows in 1986 as half of the Crush Gals. Supposedly Vince didn't think they were pretty enough. He preferred the Jumping Bomb Angels who got a run with WWE the next year.

I think she may have had an inkling here by the looks of her face when she was coming out. She was never a bouncy smiley baby face, but she looked down right pissed here. She said JJ Dillon called her to let her go though so she wasn't let go at this show.

Supposedly, Alundra and Aja Kong were going to have a program leading to Royal Rumble. Supposedly, Vince and company were freaked out by Aja Kong's wrestling at Survivor Series and on Raw against Chaparita Asari, thinking it looked too brutal. This might have been a factor in them just giving up on the division as it was never really that over with the fans.

I think the real reason behind them canning the division, along with the fact they were cost cutting was because Madusa was involved with Kevin Nash when he was married. I think there was some politics in there much like with Chyna.

It's worth noting that this was the culmination of a year of frustrations for Alundra. Earlier in the year, her feud with Bull Nakano for the Women's Championship barely got any TV time. Then, they brought in Monster Ripper and turned her into a comedy character. Nakano and Ripper were supposed to feud while Alundra had plastic surgery, but Bull got fired for cocaine possession. Blayze came back for a heatless feud with Ripper, losing the title at SummerSlam. The rematch didn't happen for two months, with Blayze getting the belt back from out of nowhere. Then management decided to put her in the ring with Aja Kong, who Blayze disliked working with. By this point, Blayze was likely mentally done with the WWF.

Aja Kong is my favorite female and probably top ten favorite wrestler of all time. She was just brutal. Like a female mid 90s Vader
