Dawg...
We could have had Shinsuke as a dope champion. We could have had Rusev as a dope champion. We could have had Samoa f***ing Joe as a dope champion.
But AJ is still the champion. Enough is enough. The guy's already broken JBL's record. He's been coasting in this reign and it's to a point where it's like, what's the point? He's solidified himself already and there's other guys who would do the championship some good.
We need to spice this up. It's just boring as hell man. I've stopped watching SDL due to this dude's reign. I don't care how good he is in the ring because his character's just far worse as a babyface champion. Then you have these matches where dude keeps the title due to bullshit. It's stale and having someone else would be champion would give that belt some much needed spice.
Somebody please make this end. Please.
We've officially entered "Spoiler: AJ is still champion" territory.
EDIT: If people wanna see AJ as champion then make your case because I'd love discussing as to why. Let's get it!!

I'm so sick of AJ's title reign. I dunno if it's all on him but dude seems like he can barely get out of first gear in major PPV title matches and it blows. Add that to him holding it forever and having guys who would be way better champs look like doofuses against him and you got a shitty stew brewin.

I will say if not Joe... then who's taking the title off of him? Nakamura's had his chance, Rusev is losing on the pre-show, and with the controversy with Orton, who knows if they'll stick the title on him or not.
Everyone suggesting Miz defeating him in late fall, early winter seemed like wishful thinking, but its looking more likely now than it was yesterday.

AJ's on a world tour to have terrible Japan parody matches with everyone and I want off Mr. Jones' wild ride

Joe is winning it at HIAC.
It was actually well done. Joe's been pushing Styles over the edge for weeks and AJ flipped and retained his title by DQ. Actually well booked on WWE's part... if Joe wins at HIAC

I love AJ but yeah, it's as tiring as the Lesnar reign was. It's to the point where I wouldn't even be upset if Bryan took it from him.

Miz will win it at survivor series. The seeds have already been planted for a feud.
Miz and Bryan will headliner Wrestlemania 35.

Well this Joe program seems to have 2 more PPV matches in it so maybe him.

I thought AJ/Joe was legit great and maybe Joe's best match since signing with the company, so I'm mostly back on board with it assuming Joe wins at HIAC

I really don't understand this. I mean... I've SEEN Styles have amazing matches with Joe. I've seen him have an amazing match with Swag. He's spent the last two years having great matches with the likes of Reigns, Cena, and Shane f***ing McMahon. So why does it seem like almost everything he's done so far in 2018 has felt so... mediocre?

Joe's been awesome on the mic but he was blown up like 35 seconds into that match.

That shit sounds like a "ok this is the second match of the night" type of thing. They didn't have an amazing match. This shit better not go on for 3 more months.

It's giving me really unfortunate reminders to Mizdow where after ages of build they ended up not having a lot of chemistry at all.

You're opening post is flawed because Rusev was never going to be champion.
That was never in the cards that match was pretty clearly setup to be the midcarder challenges for the world title and loses after a good effort match perhaps setting stuff up for something later (knowing how the WWE has operated recently the answer is no.)
But that's not on AJ.
I liked most of the Shinsuke vs. AJ matches with one the exception of the stupidest ending in Wrestling history (they didn't blow me away but I liked them)... and think Shinsuke should have won at some point in there.
Didn't see the match tonight so can't comment... but also knowing the WWE Joe will have like 3 more chances...

Well the problem is Miz has charisma but he's not a great wrestler... he's rather basic in the ring... It's why I believe that upper mid card gatekeeper is rather the perfect fit for him.

Yea, i'm pretty much on board with this
The AJ/Joe match was good and probably the best match of the night besides the womens triple threat but stupid finishes aside, him and Shinsuke had good matches and it didn't go in Shinsuke favor
Rusev tho? Nah f*** that we reaching at that point
