It doesn't bother me at all. I prefer it over a quiet crowd. It's just part of modern day wrestling. I agree however it does annoy me when fans chant CM Punk. He may never return to wrestling so why chant for somone who might not come back. Yep, the only chants I don't like are "CM Punk" and "We Are Awesome" (though, to be fair, I think it was only during one show but I could be mistaken) |

I hate anything that is disrespectful to the wrestlers. Even if you dislike them, give them respect. The peak of awfulness, of course, is the “You suck [partners name]” chanted at the women years ago, which I cannot believe garnered enough people to be heard on TV. That shit should have been booed by fans around them. I also hate “boring”, which thankfully fell out of favour in recent years.
Other than that, I also hate “WHAT” which is outdated, unintelligent and adds nothing, and “We are awesome” (any acknowledgement of awesomeness immediately negates any awesomeness).

I like the crowd to have a good time but sometimes they can be very obnoxious. Extreme Rules with the countdown during the ironman match was tedious.
But then I remember going to watch NXT London and having a great time and it being the best wrestling show and live crowd I've seen...and then read the forums here and a lot of people were criticising the crowd saying the fans were annoying and ruined the show.
So if you're there live enjoy it because it's awesome. More awesome than watching it on TV I guess.

It's better than Attitude Era crowds. As raucous as they were, they were also a lot more toxic.

Hands down "This is awesome" is the worse. It became a problem post Mania 25 after Taker/HBK. The chant is always used after a nearfall that was BLATANTLY OBVIOUS. WTF is awesome about a dude kicking out?

Screaming, cheering shouting is more natural then chant "yes" over and over again. When I win at a video game I don't just start saying "yes yes yes" to myself to myself in sitting in a chair. I'd let out a quick shout or cheer. I'm nitpicking but I just wish we had some more chants out there I also don't start screaming and chanting "Rocky Rocky Rocky" when I take a bite out of a really good burger. It's different contexts. Man, I dunno. Sometimes when my friend eats a good burger, he'll chant "Let's go, Burger!" and I'll respond with "Burger sucks!" You just get in the moment. |

Most of them do suck. The only one I do enjoy when used properly is when the fans are chanting "you deserve it" when Roman Reigns is getting the shit kicked out of him. He deserves that and more just for all the boredom he's brought me over these 50 years he's been pushed.
