Mostly based on the fact that Little Muppet Monsters ended up getting pulled when CBS figured they'd get higher ratings with just an hour of Muppet Babies. Then there's the Young Astronauts affair. I guess Rock 'n' Wrestling in a way when you consider that some guys like Snuka and Richter had left the company by the time it made it to air. EDIT: I thought of this cause I did watch the LMM premiere on YouTube last night. Not a bad idea, but it was just all over the place.

Then there's the Young Astronauts affair. When one talks about this, or any, '80s Saturday AM season being jinxed...........let's face it; they can only be talking about Young Astronauts, the pilot of which aired 2 days before the Challenger explosion and then never again. I vaguely remember Little Muppet Monsters, though it sounds familiar and I more than likely watched it. A nice concept, and fortunate for CBS that the MB reruns were doing so damn well that Marvel Productions being slow to deliver wasn't really damaging in the end...

Little Muppet Monsters was so bad that they replaced it with a re-run of Muppet Babies which was a much better idea...

Dont forget Wuzzles, which, while succesful, only had one season, and the reruns of that season were aired the next season on ABC. Watching it, it doesnt really have the Disney "feel", looking more like one of those cutesy 30 minute toy-based shows (which it was, admittedly), as opposed to Gummi Bears. Love the concept though.

Were Wuzzles those toys where they were like two different animals combined into one?

That Dungeons and Dragons cartoon was good shit it had it's moments... some of it wasn't great but I did like they did some deep cuts on some of the lore. also found this today

I thought that Little Muppet Monsters was cancelled because Jim Henson didn't think it was that good?

I remember Rock and Wrestling being on later in the day, like early afternoon. I remember flipping back and forth between that and Lazer Tag Academy

The stated reason why Muppet Monsters was cancelled was...
Marvel didn't finish all the episodes in time.
they had 3 ready for air which they did... until the rest got finished they just aired two Muppet Babies (one being a rerun) and realized that it still got good ratings... and din't pick up the rest of the Muppet Monsters.
it's only real lasting appeal was that it's theme became Muppet Babies outro theme.

I wonder if we'll ever find that one episode that aired. There arent even any advertisements for the show floating around outside of that one picture. There was also going to be a Marvel comic based off of the show that was cancelled (the comic even showed up in subscription orders in late 1985 comics), doubt that will ever see the light of day either.

Never knew any episodes of Young Astronauts aired
Also thought only 2 episodes of Lil Monsters aired.
I love the big 2 page spreads in comics advertising the Saturday Morning Cartoons.

The thing that gets me about Little Muppet Monsters is that it was mentioned in the Muppets Celebration of 30 Years special back in the 80s with Muppet Babies and Fraggle Rock.
That special was in January of 1986, long after the September cancellation of the series.
