Getting mad at comedy wrestling is like getting mad at Spaceballs for not being as serious as Star Wars. Different genres of wrestling exist, and cornette saying "non wrestling fans might see it as representing all of wrestling" is a weak excuse.

I don't now, nor have ever, had any emotional attachment to "Thorn In Your Eye," and always felt using it as a theme for Raw for so long was cheap.
Also, the nWo Wolfpac theme is poorly mixed and the rapper on it is a bargain bin C-Murder knock-off.

Across the Nation is still the best RAW theme.

Different genres of wrestling exist, and cornette saying "non wrestling fans might see it as representing all of wrestling" is a weak excuse. Context and content are key. I'm fine with Chikara existing, I am fine with Colt Csbana, hell, my screen and is that of a comedy character, but Joey Ryan's entire act is crap, it's 'comedy' that makes you feel embarrassed to watch. Put him on a non comedy oriented show and he shatters suspension of disbelief and ruins the flow if the show for me. I don't like unfunny crap that makes me feel embarrassed to be a fan. I know wrestling isn't real, I am fine with comedy spots, but there are limits, I don't need to be slapped around the dead with a dick and told 'This is fake and silly, har har har.' I hate it when Joey Ryan does it just as I hated it during the attitude era when Vinces Russo and McMahon put their worst impulses on screen. It's not star wars fans being mad at Spaceballs, it's StarWars fans getting mad because someone spliced 20 minutes of Adam Sandler's Pixels into the middle of The Empire Strikes Back. You can say it's well edited, that the people behind it did a great job putting the scene in, that it has an audience and even that Star Wars is silly because it has bad CG and/or puppets, that still doesn't make the 'comedy' less out of place and puerile.

I don't get the appeal of Joey Janella. Dude's not that good, and feels like a dimestore Joey Ryan to me.

Props to the guy for reinventing himself, but Broken/Woken Matt Hardy was terrible.

I actually don't mind faces cheating in certain circumstances. If you're in a match with a heel who's been giving you grief and repeatedly cheating, costing you matches, and the referee's back is turned, then go for the eyes. Fish hook them. Rake their back. Give them a piece of their own medicine. I agree. Stuff like this is a bit too much, but I generally don’t have an issue with faces pulling out dirty tactics and giving their opponent a taste of their own medicine if they’re over enough and the heel’s wronged them.

I mean for me it’s in the so bad it’s good category Let’s not forget he was playing this straight until they had the first match and then that whole thing changed with Jeff becoming Brother Nero and crowd getting behind it The whole appeal was so goofy that it became a hit

Joey Ryan isn't to everybody's taste, but in no way do I consider him on the same level as russo and the attitude era. Joey is a sleazy character who looks like a 70s porn star. Things he does has rhyme and reason. It makes sense for him to do dick flips or hand out lollipops to fans. Whereas russo was shock for the sake of shock. Mark Henry getting a blowjob from a cross dresser or the Bossman chopping Al Snow's dog and feeding it to him just screamed "see bro. We're pushing the envelope!" Joey Ryan's character is slightly altered depending on his setting. Dick Druids make sense in the world of Being The Elite, so that's why they appeared at All In. Whereas dick druids and dick flips don't happen in Lucha Underground when Joey's there. He is perfectly in context.

I'm not sure how unpopular in general this is, but oh lord I just wanna mention it somewhere
Get Izzy the f*** away from the actually wrestling side of the business until she's older. Like, between that awful chokeslam thing and the fact that some dude on twitter got spotlighted acting like a straight up pedo towards her on twitter, the idea of her spending her entire teenage years amongst this shit horrifies me.

I'm well aware of that bit, but I didn't want to mention it because speculation to who the strange Izzy man is would be weeeird. Also it's not nearly as ominous as Hawaii man.

The wear and tear caused by the WWE schedule is more dangerous than any one move.

I really don’t see what’s so great about the Rock/Austin “My Way” video.
Like, it’s fine, but I don’t get the “OMG best hype video ever!” vibes.

Bobby Heenan's commentary is massively overrated, his jokes were dated and questionable even for the time. He deserves nothing but scorn for his WCW run, everyone on commentary there faced the sane issues, had the same lack of creative input, but he was the only one who... I won't say halfassed it, that gives him too much credit, often he eigthassed it. Schiavone had to deal with being the mouthpiece for Bischoff's idiocy, but he went out there and did his best, while Heenan just cashed his cheque and went out there, drank and stank. Honestly I've always found Heenan's consent sob stories about WCW treated him like shit have done noting but make him sound like a whiny little bitch.

They treated him so badly he got twice the pay for half the workload, travel, gave him health benefits the good people at the WWF didn't and he got to live closer to his family, those monsters!

I can't remember if I posted this or not - but I hate most of Rice Flair's promos and think he is often nonensical and incoherent, yelling way more than he needs to.
