This is based off a convo in the sacrilegious thread
So let's compare and contrast the two as both have their critics and some lovers
I'll start off with a few
Both f***ed around their rosters when it came to paying them

Dixie Carter is just a female richer version of Heyman.
Paul was also a trust fund baby.
Both blamed the mailman for the checks arriving late.
Both are liars. You can’t believe anything that comes out of their mouths.
Both have delusions of grandeur.
Both killed their companies.
Dixie only avoided a bankruptcy trial because a moron bailed tna out at the last second.

The one thing Paul had that Dixie didn't was that he was able to Svengali a lot of the ECW roster into loyalty moreso than Dixie.
Sure, people paid lip service to her (Hi, TJP), but I don't get the feeling they felt any real loyalty to her.

They were both malicious and manipulative, but Dixie was also an idiot. She got away with a lot of really vile stuff with her old southern charm and clueless act that tried to deflect and did fool people, but she was also dumber than a bag of hammers and got played by other carnies and even in some places played herself, like in the move to Destination America. Heyman always seemed like he was in control of things and had everyone in line, and where he didn't they were out anyway, but Dixie got played by Hogan, Bischoff, Russo, and a ton of other guys. Especially if you buy into Cornette's allegations that she was sleeping with Nash and that Nash was all over trying to curry favour with her in the process.
At the end of the day they're both slime and both left behind lots of damage to people and to the business, and the major difference to me is that one was evil and stupid, one was just evil

Give Heyman some credit on the creative end. He knew what they 90s audience wanted, he put it together well, he presented wrestlers to emphasize their strengths and cover their weaknesses. He just needed someone keeping an eye on the budget. Just like Russo needed a creative filter, Heyman needed a money filter.
Dixie had all the money she should have needed, a network that wanted her to succeed, stars from WWE that had something to prove. There is nothing that should have been able to hold her back from being the strong number two promotion that they came within a hairs breath of being in 2006-2008. Nothing except impatience and giving in to the carnies looking to feather their own nests at Pandas expense. Which eventually lost her the budget and stars. And her newfound ego and desire to be a star cost her the network. And eventually the company.

Eric Bischoff was the same way with being able to negate the BS at the end with WCW and going to WWE and being a very good on screen character
I said this before, if Dixie had any type of onscreen presence she'd be killing it as EC3 manager. Wouldn't have put it past her to get Vickie levels of heat if she had any talent but she doesn't

Paul is looked at more fondly than Dixie....both f***ed around their rosters and lied to them, but people seem to look at Paul in a more positive light

If I'm not mistaken, Dixie at least paid her people. It might not have been on time, but she paid them. Paul still owes people money. I think his closeness with Vince McMahon is why people tend to forgive Paul Heyman.

Well in the case of EY and Roode she was supposed to have owed them a combined 6 figures and they were able to escape their contracts by forgoing the money

There really isn't a comparison in my mind.
Paul Heyman, with all of his flaws, is a creative genius who could get the most out of someone and is made for wrestling. Unfortunately for as great as he is creatively, he is as bad on the business side. If I ran into an unlimited amount of money tomorrow and decided to start a competitor to the WWE. Paul Heyman would be on a very short list to head up creative.
Dixie Carter...I guess the one thing you can say about her contributions to wrestling is that she might have finally shown how not to run a supposed competitor to the WWE and how you can have a stacked roster at one point and still manage to foul it up. Same money scenario as above, I might hire Dixie to remind her on a weekly basis of how much of a ditz she is or invite her into creative meetings so I could know what not to do.
The only thing they have in common is the monetary issues...which I think you could list almost endlessly promoters that owe talent money or screwed talent on the payoffs.

Basically Heyman let ECW died and did nothing about it despite having a serious offer to sell ECW, but Heyman sabotaged the deal. Dreamer also implied that Heyman sabotaged the deal because he was on bed with the wwe. After that and the STWW podcast about Heyman, I think most fans see him as a thief and a liar on the same level as Dixie.

Tommy uncovered some deep shit. For example, wcw was desperate so Bischoff called and pitched an invasion angle, Tommy agreed because ecw was hemorrhaging money and guys hadn’t been paid, Paul rejected it saying that Vince would go crazy, later Dreamer realized that it was because the wwe was paying them, and apparently Heyman kept the money. An ecw truck was also on Tommy Dreamer’s name so he lost a lot of money because of the bankruptcy stuff. Also Prichard claimed that Heyman would bury his own ecw guys during creative meetings.

Tommy was also offered a wcw deal that according to him it would’ve been the most money he would’ve made in his career, but Heyman cried to him and begged Dreamer to stay because ecw was close to making it...instead ecw never made it and Tommy got a ton of bounced checks.
