I disagree, they cheered Triple H in my opinion because they thought that he was gonna save Rock, I doubt that Trips would’ve maintained that reactions on a consistent basis against a heel Austin who despite doing reprehensible shit like destroying Lita and Jim Ross, he was still being cheered. The only way Austin got booed was when he became a coward heel and McMahon’s bitch, and he had to switch into that comedic role after getting injured. Trips as a face maybe just maybe could’ve worked against coward Austin but not against a paranoid heel Austin who the crowd still loved. I think you could have gotten to Survivor Series with it, and that would have been enough time to get Flair, probably the NWO, and if they would have had those guys, I think Bischoff and perhaps Sting would have even happened....in addition to the people they brought in. Just speculating, but based on when WWE actually did bring Flair and the NWO in, it's not that ridiculous to suggest. Unfortunately they didn’t know if they were gonna get those guys at the time. Flair was out of shape, in fact he admitted that he wrestled in a shirt for the last nitro because he was ashamed of his body, he was also strongly considering retirement. Regarding the nWo, while everyone wanted Hulk back, all the agents and talents, except Triple H, apparently tried to convince Vince that it was a mistake bringing Hall and Nash back.

Oh, it probably was, but short term, it would have worked, and made everything that happened from June to the beginning of the Brand Split make a LOT more sense.

Gotta tell you the truth, I kind of adore some of Disco's angle ideas. Hell yeah, wrestling bodysnatchers.

Supposedly, before they realized that Bret was way more over, the plan was for Lex Luger to win the WWF Championship at WrestleMania X. But not from Yokozuna. Oh no. Yoko was going to drop the belt to The Undertaker, who would in turn drop it to Ludvig Borga, who would then lose to Luger at Mania. But then Borga got hurt and Undertaker needed to take time off, so they nixed it. Luger was STILL going to win the title, though, until the fan reactions at the Royal Rumble and the coin flip for WrestleMania finally convinced them to just let Bret run with the title. Lex himself has said Vince told him well before the Royal Rumble that Bret was winning the title at WrestleMania.

Also Terry Taylor allegedly is the one who came up with Bill Ding the evil architect and other bullshit.

I learned about this one recently but Randy Savage was offered a spot in Mid South before going to the wwe.
It would’ve been very weird to see a heel Macho Man against a face Ted Dibiase.

All I know is if Jim Herd had been in charge when this stuff was being proposed, joking or not- all of it would have been on TV.

Herd was responsible for the Ding Dongs and what would’ve been the Hunchbacks.

Yeah, there's absolutely no truth to that. That's something that Scott Keith pulled out of his ass like half the "facts" he put out. Not only have I not seen this sourced anywhere else but there is absolutely no way that the WWF was going to run three title changes in three months in 1994--none.

Robert Fuller while running Continental wanted Adrian Street and Miss Linda to announce that they were pregnant, only for heels to attack them both and cause a miscarriage. Street and Linda saved Fuller from himself and told him where to stick that idea.

The Undertaker to have been the one to hatch out of the egg.
Bret Hart winning the WWE title at WM in a tag match instead of facing Vince one on one.
Yokozuna returning in 97 as a part of the Hart Foundation.

I think Shiek Tugboat wins this. They honestly thought they’d sell 100,000 tickets at Mania for that.
The rest are all stupid but that’s something else, the ME of Maina.

I love how Vince thought it was the best idea ever and when Pat and Bruce just stared him down as if he was crazy, he wanted to cry.

This one would’ve sucked bad.
Around mid to late 97, Hogan’s contract with wcw was ending. Instead of resigning with wcw immediately, he had a meeting with Vince, apparently part of the creative would’ve been Hogan joining DX...
Think about it, middle aged Hogan fumbling in promos and saying suck it. Also him and Shawn in the same locker room would’ve been funny.

Yep originally Raven agreed to go to Smokey Mountain but Corny didnt understand what he wanted to do. Even Heyman didnt get the original idea for Raven and thought he was getting a darker Johnny Polo Another Russo one, having the WCW title held up in a Battle Royal and having Tank Abbott win because Sid was just worn out by the time Tank entered the match

Couple things:
I thought Vince went to Goldust with the breast implants idea, and Dustin actually considered it.
I remember Russo starting a promo in WCW with the line, "Incest. Cousins having babies with cousins." and I remember thinking it was funny because it was so random, but apparently he's fascinated with it.
I also remember reading that Austin was pushing for a heel turn, or there were plans for an Austin heel turn as early as '99. And that his neck was completely fine.
