Nah there’s worse than that. Disco with a straight face pitched Jimmy Hart to hit Jeff Jarrett with a taser and pin him clean. Let’s also not forget the invisible man. The taser was done with Hall beating Goldberg. Joey Janela booked the invisible man in his battle royal and had him win. WCW’s proposed alien invasion idea was far far worse. Well the moral of the story is not to let Glenn Gilberti near a writer’s room. Disco can’t even book an e fed.

Heidenreich/unfrozen Nazi. That is all. And if they had gone along with the "Hirohito" gimmick for Kenzo Suzuki, you just KNOW they would have teamed.

I forgot all about wrestling’s archaeologists: Doug Hole and Artie Fact. Cheese and rice, that’s terrible.

Golga originally was supposed to be a serious gimmick about a deformed character, but the other oddities were so shitty that they ended up turning him into a comedy gimmick.
Ric Flair wrote on his book that Russo pitched him that he got Stacy Keibler pregnant in an angle, this while she was on screen paired with David Flair. I think Ric told him to f*** off.
In the Pillman-Goldust angle, Marlena was supposed to turn heel and team with Pillman, then the next ppv she was gonna turn on Brian and return to Goldust...I hate Russo’s booking.

Wasn't the second meant to be WORSE than that? As in, after David said that wouldn't leave Stacy despite sleeping with Russo (I'm feeling itchy typing that...), Russo would have another bombshell: Stacy was actually Ric's daughter, meaning her and David's union was an incestuous wedding.

Uh yeah I completely forgot the incest part. Russo is such a pathetic individual.

Let’s not forget Disco’s idea for Bill Ding. If Disco was only joking when he pitched that shit, Id have no problem with it, but the f***er was serious... Mankind was supposed to work an angle with Marc Mero where he would be infatuated with Sable, a beauty and the beast type of story, but Foley rejected it because Marc was such a shitty worker and Mick was still pissed off that Mero had a bigger contract than his. Mero was gonna have an angle with Austin, if you remember during that time Steve and Sable did some cameos together and the audience popped everytime they happened like they wanted them to be a couple or something, well Steve vetoed the program once Sable powerbombed Mero.

Paul Burchill and Katie Lea having an incest angle. I think it was dropped because of the PG rating.

There are two from the same time period springing to mind:
Dan Severn as a member of The Ministry of Darkness, complete with a "666" tattoo. I wish this happened.
Ken Shamrock sleeping with Ryan Shamrock. I'm happy this didn't happen.

I remember a weird one that kept popping up in WWF Magazine throughout the back half of 1998 that was this repeated proposal of a "stable of shooters" consisting of Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Steve Williams, and Steve Regal. There may be other names for that that I'm forgetting as well.

Let’s not forget Disco’s idea for Bill Ding. I had always heard that one attributed to Terry Taylor, was it Disco? Neither one would surprise me.

In 1998, Psicosis had been having trouble with Raven's Flock after building up a small streak at their expense, and he had a match against arch enemy Ultimo Dragon. So when the match ended up at ringside in front of the Flock they attacked Psicosis. Ultimo came to his aid, and Psicosis and Ultimo ended up running the Flock off. An underrated wrestler teaming with his arch enemy against the Flock could've been an intriguing midcard angle - so naturally, the whole thing was never mentioned again after that.

Supposedly, before they realized that Bret was way more over, the plan was for Lex Luger to win the WWF Championship at WrestleMania X. But not from Yokozuna. Oh no. Yoko was going to drop the belt to The Undertaker, who would in turn drop it to Ludvig Borga, who would then lose to Luger at Mania. But then Borga got hurt and Undertaker needed to take time off, so they nixed it. Luger was STILL going to win the title, though, until the fan reactions at the Royal Rumble and the coin flip for WrestleMania finally convinced them to just let Bret run with the title.

Heel Austin against Face Triple H I don’t think this was gonna work at all. According to Bruce Prichard, before tearing his quad, they were gonna break up the two men power trip and Trips was gonna turn face on Austin and chase him for the belt. I can’t see a single person ever cheering for Triple H over Austin haha. Actually, the crowd was kind of hype for that the RAW after Austin turned heel. When Austin was destroying Rock in the cage and Triple H's music hit, they exploded. His staying heel and joining Austin definitely kind of deflated things, as... 1. I think the people were ready for a Triple H face turn, as the issue with Austin was over, and they had been with the face tease in the fall of 2000. He was getting a good reaction at WM 17 during his kick ass (and best) match with Taker the previous night. and 2. His being injured kind of forced WWE to speed up the WCW Invasion, as they were building to an eventual Triple H face turn through the summer. Had they been able to do that storyline, it probably would have allowed WWE to wait out enough of the Turner contracts to make the Invasion at least a little better than it ended up being.

I disagree, they cheered Triple H in my opinion because they thought that he was gonna save Rock, I doubt that Trips would’ve maintained that reactions on a consistent basis against a heel Austin who despite doing reprehensible shit like destroying Lita and Jim Ross, he was still being cheered. The only way Austin got booed was when he became a coward heel and McMahon’s bitch, and he had to switch into that comedic role after getting injured. Trips as a face maybe just maybe could’ve worked against coward Austin but not against a paranoid heel Austin who the crowd still loved.

I think you could have gotten to Survivor Series with it, and that would have been enough time to get Flair, probably the NWO, and if they would have had those guys, I think Bischoff and perhaps Sting would have even happened....in addition to the people they brought in. Just speculating, but based on when WWE actually did bring Flair and the NWO in, it's not that ridiculous to suggest.
