Maybe I’ve just read too many comics where it works as a story. Or maybe I’m just naive that wrestling could pull it off. |

Been reading Observer rewind, and apparently there was a plan to do Rock vs Austin at Wrestlemania 2000, this time with Austin as a heel and Rocky as a face.
Of course we all know he had to take that year off for neck surgery, but I wonder how that would have played out. Not only with the heel turn, but I wonder what they would have had HHH do. Probably push the Foley feud at to Mania? This must have been late summer/early fall that these ideas were thrown around.

It would've been the same as when he won the US title but 100x worse. And I say this as a HUGE Bret mark. |
