Sample Platter #3: The Loud House: Really Loud Music {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}The general consensus is that the story is solid, yet the musical format doesn't work perfectly with how short the different Loud family songs are in act one Also expect a lot of videos this month. Besides Elephant Show, there are several Sample Platters for Are You Afraid of the Dark

I had no idea The Loud House existed. It's Nick's biggest cartoon now, kinda rivaling Spongebob at this point.

I'd say "Play It Loud" actually sounds like early Avril Lavigne or Fefe Dobson. YMMV if that's a good or bad thing.

We still a ways away from it, but I wonder when he gets to Hey Dude. well he tell us whey David Lascher left the show and than later came back. Was it personnel reasons, did he leave for a short lived network show?

But Robert Mitchum, wasn't he the guy from Empty Nest, which was on the air in 1990.

Interesting cast this show had. But Robert Mitchum, wasn't he the guy from Empty Nest, which was on the air in 1990. It sounds like you're confusing him with Richard Mulligan. As for A Family for Joe, I vaguely remember it. Or should I say I vaguely remember the TV movie. I remember the spin-off sitcom existing, but I don't remember watching any episodes.

Sample Platter #4: Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Dark Music
First of a few episode reviews for Are You Afraid this month.
Also up is a review of Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask, which given Greg isn't a fan of the books is interesting at least.

Sample Platter #4: Are You Afraid of the Dark: The Tale of the Dark Music First of a few episode reviews for Are You Afraid this month. Did anybody else think this episode ended kinda abruptly? I know this is only supposed to be a sampler, but it still felt like it was just getting started when it suddenly ended.

Well, Greg has said there are a few Are You Afraid of the Dark sample platter episodes to come, plus you gotta save some stuff for the eventual review in 2049

I wonder if he will ever cover Nick’s history of U.S. Presidential elections (without going into politics of course). If he does, he should talk about this incident. In 1992, Nick ran a hotline on a Friday afternoon between 4pm-8pm. In the original ad, they listed the phone number to call to vote on screen and via voice over. Well, after the first half-hour show, they said over the closing credits of that show that that phone number was wrong and they listed the correct number. So when the ads were shown again, the new phone number covered the old number and when the commercial announcer (Wendell Craig) said “1-800...” another voice came on and said the correct phone number. This continued until 8pm and I think kids were still calling after 8pm because Nick ran a message on the bottom of the screen that said that the phone lines were closed and to stop calling. I wonder what the original phone number (if active) was connected an adult escort service?

And I will now have the ending song from that series in my head.
For some reason I forgot, until I started watching this a few seconds ago, the opening theme of the show.

I wonder on the next Nick Knacks how much will Don Adams career will be covered. Obviously we will get some Get Smart clips, but what about Tennessee Tuxedo, or his appearance on the New Scooby Doo Movies.

Obviously we will get some Get Smart clips, but what about Tennessee Tuxedo, or his appearance on the New Scooby Doo Movies. I expect at least half of the video to be devoted to his one-off appearance as the unnamed Principal on Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher. Anything less would be a disservice to the man's legacy.
