I wonder on the next Nick Knacks how much will Don Adams career will be covered. Obviously we will get some Get Smart clips, but what about Tennessee Tuxedo, or his appearance on the New Scooby Doo Movies. I expect at least half of the video to be devoted to his one-off appearance as the unnamed Principal on Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher. Anything less would be a disservice to the man's legacy. Well the more time devoted to that, the less time can be devoted to Corporal Capeman. The less Capeman the better.

There's your answer on what a lot of the discussion will be. There is also the matter of a little movie that came out in 1987 about a cyborg cop called Robocop

The Elephant Show episode made me very nostalgic. It's pretty astounding how much of 1980s children cable television stems from shows and talent made and born in Canada; things like the CBC's requirements for "Canadian content" in their shows led to lots of shows being produced, a lot of them didn't cost too much, and cable channels like Nick and the Disney Channel in the US looking for some unique content could sign them up.

Never underestimate Canadian content during this era. You can't do that on television was first a Canadian show and then I grew up a little The Kids in the Hall on Comedy Central helped form my sense of humor.

I do love that the "Canadian content" requirement is what led SCTV to create Bob and Dough McKenzie. "You want 'Canadian'? Oh, you'll get it, alright..."

So did you guys know there is an episode of Inspector Gadget episode titled "Gadget Meets The Clan". It is from season 2, but yeah that exists, granted clan is spelled with a "c", but still wow that would never happen today.

Next PopArena video will be a look at the Animorphs graphic novel, so Animorphs returns briefly.

Non-Nick Knacks
Animorphs Graphix
Veers into the history of Scholastic and graphic novels, particularly Goosebumps' short run and the ongoing Babysitters Club GNs. I have one of the Goosebumps ones and they're neat takes on the books. Some commentary on some missing elements, but also some stuff about some dialogue that feels like semantics.

I hope the Gadget episode will be great Thinking about it, wondering if he's gonna touch on the (I don't believe ever aired in the United States) sequel show "Gadget and the Gadgetinis".

If he is going to mention Inspector Gadget counter parts to Get Smart characters, the one no mention is Corporal Capeman. Capeman's counter part is Larabee, they serve the same function of being dumber than Don Adams and making the Don Adams character look smart by comparison. Tell me i am wrong.
