I a always thought he was African American (he had a little Richard gimmick in WCW) and was genuinely shocked to find out he is Caucasian. He of course got overshadowed by his wife in WWE but was a solid mid carder. He also has the distinction of allegedly being the first guy to get a guaranteed contract from Vince when he jumped from WCW. Whaaaaaa.....? No way. Dude has to at least be mixed. I was surprised to find out he was male. Dude's so pretty, he shoulda been born a little girl |

I first got into wrestling while Marc Mero was doing the boxer gimmick. I didn't know much about his previous gimmicks, whether it was the Wildman or Johnny B Badd, but looking back, he had what it took to be a star. Such a shame his useless wife overshadowed him, who wasn't really all that looking back. Hell, it felt like he was just there when Sable and Jacqueline were feuding.
