What ever happened to the bodyslam? It’s the most basic of wrestling moves, but I feel like I don’t see it too much anymore. Am I hallucinating? If not what are some other “regular” moves that have gone the way of the Dodo bird?

Might be wrong but I don't see a lotta hip-tosses these days.

Never see anyone ever use and grab the ropes for leverage

Arm wringers seem pretty rare these days.

I feel like the Atomic Drop is on the endangered species list.

The Atomic Drop doesn't get the love it used to.
I was gonna say The Airplane Spin, but it has gotten something of a resurgence lately.

I can only guess, but I'm figuring that since it's a bump on a not particularly flashy move, they'd rather save their bumps for something more interesting. I do remember Zeke/Big Ryck using them, but not a whole lot of other folk in recent years.

I rarely see the abdominal stretch anymore.

I rarely see the abdominal stretch anymore. After Gorilla Monsoon's passing nobody could figure out how to do it correctly anymore.

Absolutely LOVED the heart punch. Really wish someone would bring it back. Would’ve worked great with a monster like Strowman and be the safest finish in a world of injuries.

Not that I haven't seen it, but a sunset flip used to be a legit way to win a match.

the Full Nelson doesn't seem to get a lot of love... or either the regular or Inverted atomic drop. Not that I haven't seen it, but a sunset flip used to be a legit way to win a match. For that matter, same with the Victory Roll. Then people start complaining that people are winning via roll ups for some reason.

Heel shit in general is a dying art. You very rarely see eye pokes, folks using the ropes for leverage on submission holds, all sorts of stuff.
Only in WWE mind, it's still very much a thing everywhere else.
