Talking about dickish heel tactics, Cornette mentioned on his podcast awhile ago about a planned series of matches where the dastardly Midnight Express would lose to the Dynamic Dudes and as a prize one 'Dude would get to manager handle Corny for 5 minutes. The surprise being that Corny would be thrown around for a bit only to reveal he had loaded his person with all flavor of "international" objects. Chains, powder, rope and all sorts. Thinking on it, I wanna see this happen now! I'm very surprised that up till today we havent seen or heard of something similar.

I remember an article in a magazine there was a match with Eddie Gilbert involved. (I wanna say against Lawler in Memphis, but I'm not 100% sure. Could have been in Continental.) Due to Eddie's propensity for cheating and using foreign objects, the officials picked 3 random fans to check Eddie. Each one found something: a chain, brass knucks, tape. (I think Eddie ended up winning anyway by foul discourse.) Can do that now with random wrestlers checking someone like the Miz.

Anyone still do the deep arm drag? The last ones I took notice off was The Rock's impressive ones at the start of the Rock/Cena vs Awesome Truth match at Survivor Series. Lethal/Gordon at All In had them as well, since they were re-creating Savage/Steamboat.

The iron claw. The Von Erichs, Barry Windham and Baron Von Raschke were all using it when I started watching wrestling. You don’t see that hold / move anymore.

Not technically a move, but speaking of heel moves, the "loaded" weapon needs to return. I always marked for the Iron Sheik’s loaded boot. Or Kassius Ohno/Chris Hero's loaded elbow pad completely legitimate elbow pad that was so graciously gifted to him by the late Mitsuhara Misawa.

I remember Flex Rumblecrunch was doing it sometimes in Chikara. It's one of those moves that's kind of hard to make look believable. Lars Sullivan could probably pull it off with those giant paws of his. On the topic of rarely used submission holds: The bow & arrow stretch. Both versions, with the lock on the one arm and leg with a knee in the ribs, or the one with a hand on the chin and both legs crossed while being bent over both the user's knees. The Canadian backbreaker. Natalya has used it as a mid-match move for a while, but no one actually uses it to try and submit their opponents. And aside from Dolph Ziggler, when was the last time you saw someone go for a sleeper hold?

Head between the knees, jump up and down, the old "ear ringer". Junkyard Dog would use that. Watching older stuff, I marked for that. Clapping around a guy's head. Don Muraco was a master. Raking the eyes with bootlaces, the ring ropes. Even Backlund would do the "stand on a guy's face and spin" face rake with the sole of his boot. Austin Aries does that to set up the Brainbuster and Last Chancery

Honestly, pretty much any old school power finisher would be good on him, needs something to replace the Freak Accident, which to me is up there with Braun's reverse chokeslam as a terrible looking big man move.

Heel shit in general is a dying art. You very rarely see eye pokes, folks using the ropes for leverage on submission holds, all sorts of stuff. Only in WWE mind, it's still very much a thing everywhere else. I think this is why I enjoy Taka and Taichi's work so much. Its so different from everything else you see

I rarely see the abdominal stretch anymore. Saw it twice during the Mae Young Classic already

Not a move really, but I never see the heel lying to the ref that the face was pulling his hair and trying to get the audience to back him up. Every once in a while, a bald guy would try to do it, to comic effect.

Here's one from WCW, the smash your opponent's face into a turnbuckle nine times, then running over to the other corner for the tenth one.

It's never been a widely-used move, but is anybody prominent doing the KneeDT these days?

You don't see a lot of wrist clutch variants anymore.
No, I'm not talking about handbags. I'm talking of the 90's to early 2000's puro staple of firmly clutching your opponents wrist to up the devastation of any move by at least 500%. These days the kids are all about athleticism and hard strikes.
It's no coincidence that the wrists are one of the hardest parts to increase mass. Coincidence? I think not, sir. Gimme a good old fashioned Akiyama styled wrist clutch any day of the week.

Absolutely LOVED the heart punch. Really wish someone would bring it back. Would’ve worked great with a monster like Strowman and be the safest finish in a world of injuries. I always thought Big Show should have used it, especially as a heel. Could be good for Lars Sullivan.

I'm not sure if has been said, but signaling for your finisher was rare when I stopped watching wrestling.

I think it's been a while since I saw someone do that spot where you put the other wrestler's ankle on the bottom rope and then jump up and drop your hips on their knee.
