My god is Becky an amazing heel/Tweener/whatever it is. Her delivery is extremely realistic, I love how she didn’t trash talk the crowd, yet only showed disrespect to Charlotte and Paige to a lesser extent. She was even acting a bit cocky in her cadence and sassy remarks like Punk. I’m all for this run if I’m being honest.

I was getting Hollywood Rock vibes with her delivery. She'd say some cocky crap and walk it back with a "But seriously, seriously." I liked it.

She’s been the best all-around female on the roster for years. And it’s been on full display, lately.
”I stopped listening after you said I was the better woman.”
Awesome.

I enjoyed that segment and think Becky has found her groove in this tweener role. Most of her lines are heelish, but she hasn't become a chickenshit heel, running from a fight and hopefully they don't give her lackeys to hide behind.

I'm really glad she didn't insult the fans, because everyone knows how stupid that would've been. Keep her like this and I'm perfectly cool with it, even though I'll really miss the super dorky social media posts.
It still irritates me that they haven't brought up Charlotte already turning on her, because it makes Charlotte look like a big hot hypocrite. At least Seth Rollins showed remorse and had a proper forgiveness angle with Ambrose, so he'd be able to get some sympathy when/if Dean turns on him.

I appreciate that she's not heeling on the fans and that she didn't bully Paige. Easily could have. So WWE are holding back on making her a complete heel. But if they're going to commit to this portrayal, why not just mention what a horrible friend Charlotte was as recently as 2016? This needs to be addressed. This pretending that Charlotte was never a heel is driving me mad. I'm really glad she didn't insult the fans, because everyone knows how stupid that would've been. They better keep Rousey away from Becky. She’s over as hell & would eviscerate her on the mic. She is doing an amazing job selling this angle and is frankly carrying both Charlotte and the writing through every promo.

Charlotte will never be a face until she makes good on what she's done and actually has a proper moment of being a face. Whether the audience is actually analyzing the story or not there's a certain subconscious element to it, because they've never had a moment or reason to cheer Charlotte doing A Good Thing.

She can be Reigns when she gets fat and can't go more than 3 minutes without needing a 15 minute break.

I don't mean it as a body thing. :/ Just as a comparison to how Roman has let himself get out of shape and his cardio has gone to shit (which Charlotte hasn't done).

To be fair, that's not as much a Charlotte problem as it is a WWE problem. The majority of face turns just happen without the true redemption arc that should come with it. Like, take Rusev for example. Crowd cheers the f*** out of him now, but what did he actually do to become a babyface? He sure as hell didn't atone for no heel misdeeds, that's for sure.

He became a babyface when he stood up to WWE Corporate by cutting his hair without permission, and killing off the stupid "Hot Summer" storyline by marrying Lana and making sure everybody (especailly TMZ) knew it.

It is a WWE problem, but it's a statement that doesn't really leave room for separating character from creative team without getting monstrously clunky. And Rusev is the narrow case of someone who finds something that gets him over and the crowd starts to like them; it happened with Barret, with Rusev, and even with Daniel Bryan. But those are cases of the audience liking someone; turning a heel face without the impetus and crowd insistence is a different kind of fight entirely, because it requires getting the crowd to sympathize for someone, and the lack of any foundational desire to cheer for them is an obstacle even major talents struggle to overcome. Look at Seth needing the redemption moment with Dean to start him on the path to become as hugely over as he now is.
