www.cnn.com/2018/10/09/entertainment/rock-hall-fame-2019-nominees/index.htmlIt's not WrestleMania season, so I guess it's time to get worked up over the other silly hall of fame. New nominations: Def Leppard, Devo, John Prine, Roxy Music, Stevie Nicks and Todd Rundgren. Also nominated: Janet Jackson, MC5, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, The Cure and The Zombies. In my perfect world this years class would be Devo, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Roxy Music, MC5, and Rage Against the Machine. I still shake my head over the fact that one of the worst bands to ever put music to vinyl (Bon Jovi) got in over Judas Priest last year. But, like the WWE Hall of Fame, this thing is silly and I'm stupid for getting worked up over it. Any rock and roll hall of fame without Iron Maiden and Motorhead is silly enough as-is.

No metal outside Def Leppard and that overrated piece of trash band RATM gets an unjustified nomination again?
f*** THE HALL.

I still can't believe the Zombies are not in. I can believe it. They're getting a pinch better at the nominees/inductees (I assume this has to do with the previously inducted artists having more and more of a voice each year) but they have a lot of ground to make up. And there's still enough industry people too in love with their own opinions for things not to still run at least somewhat stupidly.

I can see him being in there one day. It'll be ages too late, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Decent enough list this year. Roxy Music, Kraftwerk, The Cure, Radiohead and Janet Jackson would get my votes.

On the other hand, Dottie West will finally be in country's HOF. Yay?

MC5, Stevie Nicks, The Cure, and Janet Jackson should be unquestionable locks. Honestly, it's a pretty impressive slate of nominees all around, really.

I had Meat Loaf on in the car earlier and I was thinking to myself how he and Jim Steinman should really be in there.
