OK I understand that it's "too costly" and all that. Like I kept saying...if they must, it's time to just rebrand this as a Batman movie.

So are they gonna encase Ezra in that same plastic square in that underground facility they kept Magneto for a year?

Boy, this will be fascinating to watch. The slow drip drip drip of bad Ezra Miller news vs WB commitment to not changing a $200 million dollar movie.
It's almost like the Titanic except instead of one big iceberg there's a bunch of small to medium ones and the captain is determined to go through the icy waters to make time.

The movie is Ralph. Everything else is Ezra.

Just lock it in a vault along with Song of The South Wrong vault. This would go into the vault with "Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs".

I mean Batman is DC's main draw their only real chance of making that $200 million back is slapping his name all over it.

At this point, they'll have to pull a "I have to go now, my planet needs me".

Every time this thread gets bumped I assume it's because Ezra Miller did something awful again

I mean, if it's done, just throw it up on HBO Max, let Netflix buy the international rights or whatever and call it a day.
Like, look, regardless on what we think about Miller, their actions shouldn't override everybody else's work, right? It'd be silly to do that.

Michael Keaton taking on the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne for the first time in 30 years is going to be enough to get people to movie theaters. There's a whole generation of people who grew up with that movie and will gladly pay whatever. Even if you have to refocus a lot of marketing on that fact, you don't throw this thing on HBO Max. They'd be leaving a pretty significant amount of money on the table. Recast Ezra after the fact, sure.

I mean, maybe but it's basically balancing out that part with the fact that the person front and centre of the whole thing is...well, problematic seems like the smallest word for it. And they're still getting paid for the whole thing. I'm not saying it's the best strategy but it's the least harmful PR wise. It's not going to happen but still.

They're damned if they do, damned if they don't. You put it out in theaters, they need to weather the potential storm that comes with that. They put it on HBO Max, the headlines become Warner is "burying" the movie and it impacts the already less than stellar perception of DC flicks. If test screenings were negative, then I get them letting it die on HBO Max. Signs point to the buzz around the movie being positive, so I also understand studio execs making the call to just do it and come what may. If the movie's a year out and Ezra actually keeps his shit together, they can probably pull it off.
