It doesn't help that when Miller showed up in the Crisis crossover, the CW Flash's costume came across as a great deal more practical for a speedster character.

True. With the Flash suit I've always had a problem with the design. If you want to make it armored up, that's still kind of dopey but fine ("it's to protect from friction!" just say the Speed Force does that already, it's not real) but all the unnecessary lines&piping just looks stupid. Definitely, though I personally think it's impossible to make the Flash suit look good in live action.

The Flash costume is a near flawless design, right up there with Spider-Man. It's sleek, simple, good colors, it just works. The problem is that so far, we've only seen Flash costumes on a TV budget, and whatever that cobbled together junk was on Ezra Miller. A big movie budget and a good costume designer could make The Flash look perfect.

Never understood why Injustice and the movie version needed to be armored, never sat right with me. That and The Flash tripping over his own feet hurt my soul.

Costume design in general is on-point in that show between Earth-3 Flash, XS, Jessie Quick, Kid Flash, Killer Frost, Captain Cold, and villains like Zoom and Reverse Flash.

Can’t believe they’re still going ahead with Ezra.

In general, the Justice League movie costumes were just pointlessly over-designed and had this weird effect that made you focus your eyes right on their crotches. I think the idea was to make them look less like costumes and more like some kind of armor or tactical uniform, but instead it just looked like they were glue gunned together from random bits of plastic. Flash easily got it the worst.

..........because if Flash is gonna fight a classic Flash foe, it might as well be the Earth-2 version of Batman's dad. I'm gonna guess this is someone's idea of countering the Flash TV show, which has (of course) been utilizing the allies & foes of Flash world, as well as pushing this "why must they keep drudging it up" Flashpoint narrative.

Wasn't KJ Apa (Archie Andrews from Riverdale) tipped as a replacement for Ezra at some point?

I'm damn near positive that they're going to use Flash's movie as a soft reset switch for the DCEU. That's why they're so insistent on doing Flashpoint. With Snyder getting his cut of JL released, redoing Suicide Squad with James Gunn, the new Batman being in the same age range as the rest of the JL cast, Henry Cavill in talks to return after a couple years of nothing, it all lines up.

DC really can't help itself in even making its non-Batman things about Batman.

That at least would have me interested far more than Ezra Flash movie on its own.

DC really can't help itself in even making its non-Batman things about Batman. Which in this case is really dumb, because their current Aquaman and Wonder Woman, along with Shazam, would be more of a current draw after their solo movies were hits. Besides, Aquaman and Wonder Woman are at the literal center of the crappy Flashpoint universe in the comic. Could be fun to see Gal play a merciless Diana one time.
