Right now the only ones attached to this are Cody and Brandi, the YBs, Hangman Page, Kazarian, Daniels, and Scorpio Sky. They are on the graphic for the AEW: Double or Nothing info thing scheduled for Jan. 8 in Jacksonville. This is really, really interesting to me for the omission of Kenny. It could just mean that Kenny's contract with New Japan runs longer and he's not throwing in with them explicitly yet. But it could also say that he's staying in the long run. This is going to get interesting. I get the impression that all this time that Omega's been talking about changing the world, he just meant that he plans to wrestle really good and make a legacy for himself, then Cody came around and put all these big ideas in peoples' heads to get us where we are now. I can't picture Omega committing himself to AEW as much as the others, I think he'll still be a mainstay in NJPW. Personally I have mixed feelings on this. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with the Elite doing their own thing, but I am not sure if this helps the American wrestling scene. MLW has been on a roll and ROH has been a consistent product, even though it hasn't been great as of late. I don't believe in this day and age that there is enough room outside of WWE for three ECW sized promotions in the US, something will have to give. While people think Vince is panicking, there is a reason why he is signing more indy talent than ever. He is stripping the talent from beneath them and at the top. I think it's a good thing. We already see ROH making interesting new signings to prepare for the changes (PCO, Brody King, Bandito), MLW seems like a pretty flexible organization too, so I think they'll be alright. I think the competition is gonna make everyone better. I think the worst case scenario for ROH is that they lose their number two spot. ROH is a good company, and I think it's cool how much they've grown up to now, but they aren't exactly an exciting presence on the scene. North American wrestling has been thriving on exceptional talent and fans that are hungry for great wrestling, but I think we've yet to see a company that actually harnesses today's talent and presents them in a new way that can create a significant buzz (Lucha Underground was the best we've had for this but they just didn't quite catch on). If AEW can harness that "All In" spirit on a consistent and larger scale, that to me is a lot more interesting for the number two promotion than ROH playing the safe, long game. AEW should be a good shot in the arm for everyone, it'll either win big or fail hard but there's a great potential for them to be the exciting, trend setting, creative force that ECW was in the 90s.

As long as they positively contribute to the women's wrestling scene, and give POC wrestlers a legit shot, I'm down.
Both WWE and the NJPW/CMLL/ROH Alliance suck at both, with only WWE trying to do something about it.

Gonna be interesting to see where loyalties in this NJPW , ROH , AEW will fall because ROH to their own fault did not prepare for life after the Elite alot sooner knowing they were leaving when they should have.
And if ROH and AEW but heads over talent (which I think is completely unavoidable) where does NJPW side with here.
Hope all the success for them but I do not envy having to be on the business end of sorting through that relationship

Even if Kenny decides he wants to be part of AEW, I don't think that puts any pressure on NJPW to switch allegiances. They'll stick with RoH unless RoH goes into a death spiral.

The Kahn family has money and resources that Vince can only dream off, so it’s gonna be an interesting year.
I’m also curious if Vince is gonna see them as competition or not.
Here’s the thing, McMahon is ruthless and actually enjoys killing companies. He starts by signing away not the wrestlers but the production people, so he can get inside info about how their business run, he did it when he hired Al Derusha and JJ Dillon away from the AWA and WCW respectively.
He’s also very vindictive and petty. He f***ed over a dying AWA by revealing to the Chicago comission that Kerry Von Erich lost his foot so he would be violating bylaws that said that an active wrestler couldn’t have an artificial limb. The Grappler thinks that Vince also had a hand in killing Portland by bribing the athletic commission into making it very difficult for them to run shows.
I don’t think anyone is ready for that type of warfare.

It’s still unclear if the dad Khan is backing this with his money at all, all we’ve heard so far is it’s the son Tony Khan, who isn’t on the same level as his dad financially.

I give this two years at best before it falls apart.
And I will not watch a second of it because of how much I absolutely despise the Elite.

Good for them I guess but I can’t honestly say I'm excited for an entire in-joke wrestling promotion.

I think their success largely hinges upon them signing Omega and/or Jericho. I have a feeling Omega is receiving a huge offer from WWE that might be hard to pass up.

Is that offer an eight-figure contract, unlimited indy appearances, his own Network show, a 100 ft. tall statue of Sephiroth, his own private island, promises of a co-operative relationship with NJPW, AEW, ROH, and CHIKARA (why the last one? To send Lince Dorado somewhere where less people can see him), stock options, a private jet, private jets for the Young Bucks, his own XFL team, an army of trained security personnel all cosplaying as Ryu, his own storefront in Times Square for Elite merchandise, his own writing and booking crew, his own announcers, and the changing of Monday Night RAW to Monday Night Omega? Because that offer probably would still not be enough.

They had years to make an effort, and just never seemed to really do that with any commitment. I really hope AEW will see that women's wrestling is worth taking seriously from day one, both from an optics standpoint and a financial one.

This year is gonna be a very interesting one for pro wrestling. There's a lot of moves being made by a lot of promotions, if you're a wrestler working the indies, now is your time to shine, it could be a huge scramble to sign folks to contracts.

I wish them nothing but success. I get that a lot of people don't like their shtick but no-one can argue they're not putting themselves out there trying something new.

I hope this at least reaches what TNA had as a viable place for people burned out on WWE to go to. WWE's roster is so bloated and a lot of people there could use a new setting. High hopes that this becomes a great alternative to WWE, something sorely missing in the US since TNA faded out.

There's nothing wrong with having a male-only roster, and I think it's perfectly acceptable if AEW starts off with one, or stays with one. It seems like a better route than to try and offer it up to the fans when odds are they won't be happy. ROH also has Jay Lethal as their leading man, and I don't see how NJPW/CMLL/ROH has an issue with race.

Sounds promising. The more viable places for wrestlers to work, the better.
