I think the smart day would be Tuesdays or Thursdays especially once WWE moves to Fox
Monday - Raw Wednesday - NXT , 205 live , and LU if it returns for another season Friday - Smackdown and Impact...not so much Impact though lol
Tuesdays and Thursdays have no wrestling related competition.

Tuesday Night Dynamite is one of the trademarks they made so that may be what they’re trying for. Can start up the first week Smackdown moves.

I think people are massively jumping the gun thinking this is going to hit the ground running but I hope for the best for them because this can only mean good things hopefully with them around

Tuesday may be better
If you are a person who watches at least half of that stuff listed by Thursday you probably will be feeling the wrestling fatigue
If Raw puts on a shit show then you at least have All Elite to look forward to if they are putting on a good product

As I said before my one condition for them for this is to have ZERO authority figures I feel like they're basically a necessity for having any kind of flexible storytelling. That said, I would keep the role to a minimum and only really use it when necessary, with no real direct storyline connections. It's how the Jaguars are going to keep Bortles from playing QB. I think the smart day would be Tuesdays or Thursdays especially once WWE moves to Fox Monday - Raw Wednesday - NXT , 205 live , and LU if it returns for another season Friday - Smackdown and Impact...not so much Impact though lol Tuesdays and Thursdays have no wrestling related competition. Tuesday would be the smarter move. Thursday for 17 weeks has the NFL, and you don't want to take that on as a new promotion. Also if the owner has some connection to an NFL team.

This is really, really interesting to me for the omission of Kenny. It could just mean that Kenny's contract with New Japan runs longer and he's not throwing in with them explicitly yet. But it could also say that he's staying in the long run. This is going to get interesting. I get the impression that all this time that Omega's been talking about changing the world, he just meant that he plans to wrestle really good and make a legacy for himself, then Cody came around and put all these big ideas in peoples' heads to get us where we are now. I can't picture Omega committing himself to AEW as much as the others, I think he'll still be a mainstay in NJPW. Personally I have mixed feelings on this. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with the Elite doing their own thing, but I am not sure if this helps the American wrestling scene. MLW has been on a roll and ROH has been a consistent product, even though it hasn't been great as of late. I don't believe in this day and age that there is enough room outside of WWE for three ECW sized promotions in the US, something will have to give. While people think Vince is panicking, there is a reason why he is signing more indy talent than ever. He is stripping the talent from beneath them and at the top. I think it's a good thing. We already see ROH making interesting new signings to prepare for the changes (PCO, Brody King, Bandito), MLW seems like a pretty flexible organization too, so I think they'll be alright. I think the competition is gonna make everyone better. I think the worst case scenario for ROH is that they lose their number two spot. ROH is a good company, and I think it's cool how much they've grown up to now, but they aren't exactly an exciting presence on the scene. North American wrestling has been thriving on exceptional talent and fans that are hungry for great wrestling, but I think we've yet to see a company that actually harnesses today's talent and presents them in a new way that can create a significant buzz (Lucha Underground was the best we've had for this but they just didn't quite catch on). If AEW can harness that "All In" spirit on a consistent and larger scale, that to me is a lot more interesting for the number two promotion than ROH playing the safe, long game. AEW should be a good shot in the arm for everyone, it'll either win big or fail hard but there's a great potential for them to be the exciting, trend setting, creative force that ECW was in the 90s. I not going to lie, ROH has gotten very stagnant. Lucha Underground was really good, but it's very hard to jump right into with how much is going on. It will be interesting to see how they book it and how well it does over time.

I think regardless of what you think of him as a talent (though I consider myself a huge fan) you have to respect how Cody keeps pushing himself further. He could've easily spent the past couple of years just coasting in WWE and getting paid to spin his wheels, but he has too much drive and too much creativity to settle for that. It's very commendable.

Their weekly TV isn't great anyway and their shows have just gotten very stale. And their utter refusal to move on from the Briscoes and Lethal when both have been done to death doesn't help.

based on tweets and nothing else (so a very broad assumption) sounds like the Super Smash Bros may be committed

Loved the way they did the reveal on Being the Elite.
And Cody's statement ending with "Fans First" is something that Vince has needed to hear for the better part of two decades.
Not that he gives a shit, and esp since his whole "radical change" in WWE is to actually listen to the fans more.
I for one, am very excited for the potential of AEW. Everyone involved not only understand pro wrestling, unlike the owner of another company, but are also very business savvy.
And major congrats to Cody for being the anti-Dolph Ziggler. He left WWE, bet on himself, and even though I find him boring as f*** in the ring, the guy had the confidence to go out and forge his own path. Dusty has to be extremely proud of him.

Honestly, I don't want them to try and compete with anyone. Be the alternative to everything else. I really want this succeed, not just because I'm a fan of those involved but because wrestling in America needs a viable alternative to the slog that is wwe.
Curious how long a show they go with if they do have one set up.

I am interested in seeing the business model they adapt
Does this focus more on TV or do they go in a more NJPW route with a focus on live events and the TV ends up being just a mash up matches from their live shows.

Yeah, Thinking “competition” is a little far-ahead. It’s more interesting to see what this will be. The feel. The roster.the rules. Everything. From there we’ll see how and if it influences the wrestling landscape at all. But I’m readily excited with those who are involved so far.

ROH's TV is like AWA's. It feels like they are loathe to give us anything of substance for "free", though, people pay to go to their tapings, and their shows are shown with commercials on them, so they really need to get out of that mindset that TV viewers are freeloaders or something, and start giving a shit about their television show. Briscoes are boring in addition to just being awful humans, and Lethal is pretty much in the same boat, with the latter point being contingent on whatever happened between him and Taeler, of course. I was bored of Lethal before Steen had left, and was getting there before Matt Hardy left the ROH title scene, it's been that worn out by now. I won't pretend Delirious' job as booker is easy, it obviously can't be, but it just comes across like he's uninspired at best, and lazy at worst right now.

There's already a thread in WWE Current about "Who jumps first?"
I think a key thing they need to do when starting up is NOT take a glut of guys from WWE/NXT. By the second promo from some cast-off midcarder talking about how they never got a shot, you've instantly branded yourself as TNA 2.0
