My wife and I watched this for the holidays this year. And honestly, while I know people will always consider John Hughes to be the teen movie guy, to me, PT&A was his finest hour.

Another thing I don't get is, didn't Del have any friends or family he could stay with? If he works for a company, what does he do, just travel the country 24/7 365? Do coworkers know his situation? Why not just settle down somewhere?
Questions I have watching this as an adult.
