One of the three movies I bought a while back specifically for the holidays. The other two were National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and Uncle Buck. We’ll probably watch one of them today  |

I watch it every year with the family. It's been part of out Thanksgiving since it's been out on VHS. Part of it was shot in my hometown and my sister met Steve Martin while they were filming.

The metaphorical gut punch at the end of the film nearly drives me to tears every time I see this movie. The literal gut punch towards the end of the film also brings me to tears, but those are tears of laughter.
