For example,
I was never an ABC family person, though I loved when it was Fox family, but damn, I can not get Into freeform. I didn’t even know what it was for a while. The name sounds so generic and like though weird channels you find on local antenna tv that you didn’t know you had like Pax/Ion.
The same goes from Spike tv becoming Paramount network. I mean it’s still a lot better than Tnn but paramount network sounds too classy for what used to be Spike. Feels like I’d tune in to that channel for classic movies and stuff.
Kfc popcorn chicken, I loved. But they went and started calling Popcorn nuggets. I’m like “why?”

Not necessarily a "brand" change, but when Skittles decided to replace the Lime skittle with a green apple flavour, the world became worse for it.

Nacho cheese Doritos chips taste like they never put enough seasoning on the chips anymore.
Also the CN real period of cartoon network. Cartoons are awesome. No need to become a knock off Disney/Nickelodeon.

Burger King changing their nuggets to be more like McDonald's. Wendy's losing the salad bar. I remember the garlic bread was really tasty.

Burger King's burgers used to be a lot bigger 20+ years ago. Now they are so tiny.

Wendy's burgers used to be square and have circles cut into the middle.
When Minute Maid Orange Soda became Fanta, I stopped drinking orange soda.
I haven't the slightest nostalgia or interest in the Rocky Adam and Aisha era of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

I dunno, but there's days when I'd take CN Real over the TTGN.
Game Show Network becomes GSN. It's fluctuated after the name change, honestly, but then sunk to the point of no return from All Steve Harvey, all day.
SciFi becomes SyFy. They ended up not straying from the formula, just cheapened it. A lot.

I’m like “why?” I wonder if it's to cover for the possibility of having just nuggets of batter without any chicken in them... they do seem to have become smaller... I just with they'd bring back the onion nuggets, those were good.

music. every year it just gets worse I try not to be an Old Man, but I have to agree with this. At least Pop music, country, and rap. I actually dig the resurgence of synthwave.

It's pop culture here. The UK Indy wrestling scene. Aside from a few guys, all I see is a bunch of guys who work styles that make no sense. Hardly anyone can work a gimmick. I've warmed to Dunne of late but he will still throw a completely nonsensical flip in there. Bate is supposed to be this old timey British technician but if he's ever watched the guys he's supposed to be aping he's not understood the style at all, and again, flips for the sake of flips. Then you have guys who's gimmick is their music and their dress (Smooth Sammy Smooth from example) but when they get in the ring they're AN Other indy guy). It just looks like a bunch of kids in the playground copying what they've seen on TV rather than working a character and telling a story. I also quite firmly believe the 'boom' is a bubble that could go at any stage and lots of places are reaching well beyond their means. mrmulluk quite likes prodding me with this as I turn into an old man shouting at clouds.

A lot of cable channels shifting from being specialty, niche/narrowcast-style channels to almost all becoming much more general in terms of trying to appeal to the broadest audience possible.
It's largely because so much of TV is now owned by only a few conglomerates who want to be able to have "overflow" channels for their extra content, plus there are just certain genres that do good ratings and these companies want on those gravy trains, but I liked there being so many oddball, unique stations out there that catered to specific interests and styles. Some of them still do it, but things like E! basically becoming reality show TV, or SciFi trying to move away from focusing on, well, Sci Fi, or even the Disney Channel going away from its emphasis on all kinds of Disney content in favor of becoming a tween sitcom station.
In a world with more channels than ever, there should really be more oddball/niche stations, not seemingly fewer.

98% of rap. To me, it just sounds like people who can't sing making odd rhymes and/or saying 3rd grade level wisdom. Doesn't help that I consider sampling lazy plagarism for the most part.
But, people like it. Hell, NPR has a segment on it each week, it sounds about as weird as you'd think.

Reality TV stars becoming celebrities. I know this is nothing new, but I'm used to entertainers and celebrities at least having some amount of discernible talent.

I remember back in high school kids in my class would go on and on about The Bachelor and Survivor and the like, but it all just felt so mind-numbingly stupid to me. That opinion has not changed at all as I’ve aged.

I want my Music Television, not whatever MTV has become the last 15 years.
