Burger King's burgers used to be a lot bigger 20+ years ago. Now they are so tiny. Very, very true. I mean f***, I stay away from fast food but I see no point in buying a Burger King Whopper these days, you’re paying for f***ing bread and a sliver of meat. Cheap meat. Badly cooked meat.

The move from DVD/Blu Ray to digital media. I'd much rather have a physical item to the digital version. Don't get me wrong I buy movies/games through my Xbox, but it's still a change I'm not totally 100% into yet.

Rock music in general being pretty much dead in the mainstream I find a bit weird. Lame arse Ed Sheeran might be the biggest mainstream rock star (If you can even call him that) in the world. The biggest bands are lifeless bands like Maroon 5, Imagine Dragons & Mumford & Sons. The press going ga ga over a glorified tribute band like Greta Van Fleet as if no band today is playing an old style of rock and roll.
Of course you can listen to what you want and thanks to Apple Music I can. Thank goodness for Streaming sites because mainstream radio is pretty much unlistenable.

Modern country music has been moving in a more frat boy, dudebro direction, with fewer actual instruments and more synth and computerized music, and I hate it.

This new crop of adults/older people who can’t understand me. They think the music I listen to is trash, they don’t get how I want my hair and clothes to look, and they gripe at me and my friends because they want to go out and do cool stuff. I’LL TAKE OUT THE TRASH LATER DAD SHUT UP

Reality TV stars becoming celebrities. I know this is nothing new, but I'm used to entertainers and celebrities at least having some amount of discernible talent. Danny John-Jules' rant a few weeks back about what passes as a modern-day celebrity is an insult to entertainers of the past was a thing of beauty.

K-pop is crap. It's just like regular western pop, but way more manufactured. South Korea's obsession with plastic surgery is kind of sad and the sasaeng (obsessive) fans are really scary.

Not a soda drinker, but Pepsi's various image changes a couple years back, including but not limited to (coughMTNDEWcough) the "smiling" version of the logo.
Speaking of logos...just about, oh, any revamp of a TV station's logo/bug in the last 10-15 years?

Danny John-Jules' rant a few weeks back about what passes as a modern-day celebrity is an insult to entertainers of the past was a thing of beauty. Do you have a link to this? Very, very true. I mean f***, I stay away from fast food but I see no point in buying a Burger King Whopper these days, you’re paying for f***ing bread and a sliver of meat. Cheap meat. Badly cooked meat. Can we just say any fast or snack food that changed its formula to be "healthier"? OH THANK YOU for reminding me of this. The one for me, and I may only be 30, but I'm sure that this is at least a 21st Century if not last decade thing, but when health Nazism became the go-to way of advertising basically everything. Loads of things have been advertised for being healthy, sure, but it was like... one aspect of advertising, as opposed to being cheap or good quality or something. But now, it seems like EVERYTHING has to be advertised on the basis of its health, and everything has to be elaborated about in really stupid ways. I mean, I've not looked into the figures on much of this. But I used to work in education, so I've had a lot of training from people who deal with this kind of thing. I straight up asked once, to a specialist on drugs and addiction giving us a seminar - does it make the slightest bit of difference to how much people smoke to have all the hideous pictures on the packets and remove the branding (this is a UK-only thing I believe) and he said it did nothing. Surely this is true of food as well. Why do we need to know how many calories a Big Mac is? I don't eat meat any more, but when I did, I went into McDonald's knowing exactly what decision I was making. Is there seriously anybody on Earth who is surprised that McDonald's is not healthy for them? Who are these people? Because they're either toddlers, or people who should probably be kept away from public society for the good of themselves and everyone else. Skin care products used to tell you they'd make your skin look good with bullshit non-science, sure, but now it's trying to tell you that your skin is actually healthier too. Ten or twelve years ago, this was covered on Charlie Brooker but it pissed me off already, kids were 9% more alert after eating cornflakes apparently. Uh. How do you measure alertness? Is there a unit of measurement? And to end on a complete non-sequitur, I hate that advertising before videos online has spread to porn, because porn seems to be an industry that hate its consumers as much as wrestling does, and the current trend for these ads seems to be 'Hey, you! Stop masturbating alone!' Like... I have sexual partners too, but I'm not with them constantly? Not everyone is masturbating because they're sad and lonely, yannow?? This post got away from me a little bit.

I gave up on modern non-Nintendo video games after the PS2. Overuse of DLC and microtransactions, overly complicated controls, long and tedious cutscenes and tutorials, and lack of local co-op are my biggest gripes.

Do you have a link to this? I'll quote it, since it's from the Sun. Not saying he's wrong about this, but he is pretty much just bitter he didn't win. Walked in, a trained dancer, expected to blitz the whole competition. Bullied his partner to the point of tears, then spent the after party when he was knocked out mumbling to himself about how he should have won. There have always been people famous because they were famous, it's just there are more outlets for that kind of thing now. Plus Joe Sugg and Stacey Dooley wouldn't exactly be the best examples. Doesn't matter if you like it or now, Joe makes a lot of content off his own back, he's working hard. Stacey Dooley does documentaries, they're hardly Zsa Zsa Gabor, Tara Palmer Tomkinson or Paris Hilton.
