You know, for all the talk about how negative WWE current is (at least when it comes to Raw) it's because of this thread that I'm starting to come around on this Ambrose turn a little, lol. See, that's the problem. We have to fill in the gaps to make the story make sense. If WWE filled in these gaps on television, this would be one of the most compelling storylines in years. Instead of the 50 writers on payroll for the company building this feud right, we have to rely on fans on here and Reddit. IMO, it would be like going to McDonalds or Burger King, and you can order the buns but you have to supply your own beef patties. That is unacceptable.

But to play devils advocate it is still early in his turn
He's been doing the cleaner stuff for only the last 2 or 3 weeks and he turned it up a notch to really drive it home this week. In fact I would give Dean and maybe some of the writers credit to the point you can see what they are potentially going for and how it connects to his previous persona
If he had been doing this gimmick 6 months and had no direction then i'd be more down on it but it is still in the infancy stage with more things to be written

Fair point. Hopefully, this does evolve into more. For some reason, I get the feeling that Vince McMahon is watching this and going, "Scrap all the rest of the plans for Dean; this germophobe gimmick is getting over and we need to strike while the iron is hot. From now on, he wrestles in a hazmat suit." lol

Ambrose may be doing little shit to appease Vince as one can assume he's a germaphobe but Ambrose seems to be slowly adding layers to this as the weeks go on and it makes sense to his character as I said before
The Bane type look just works for him especially with Ambrose still being jacked after a few months back in WWE on the road full time. If Kenny Omega didn't have the Cleaner nickname on lock it would work for Ambrose to get rid of the lunatic fringe nickname as the Cleaner can be literal in regards him wanting to "clean" WWE but also the other intended purpose of that nickname is him being a hitman taking everyone out while he's on his mission

IMO, it would be like going to McDonalds or Burger King, and you can order the buns but you have to supply your own beef patties. That is unacceptable. Depends. Sometimes stories are best left when you don't explain everything. Other cases explaining everything makes things as best as they can be. In this case I'd say it's in the middle. They should have Ambrose explain more about his change but don't go overboard to where we see everything. Just add things in week in and week out. Say he was getting those shots last week, he could have at least explained why in detail. I mean he did say say some, just didn't go into detail. Judging Ambrose's comments these few weeks (even on the week where he got the shots) they were centered around how people and Rollins were the same and in turn how bad they were on the inside in his mind connects to how bad their bodies are when it comes to germs. It makes sense when he speaks about it and you pay attention. The problem is Vince is similar to a lot of fans. They don't look into the inner workings so Vince was probably like "say their breathe stinks and that'll work" so that's all people stick on. All of Ambrose's promos these past few weeks connect together. Hell, if you wanna get deeper that connects to that staph infection Ambrose got that almost killed him. It was karma for all the bad he's done, Roman's leukemia is karma according to Ambrose, Rollins on the other hand only hurt his knee and almost lost his career which isn't enough compared to what he and Reigns went through. Even on that Chronicles documentary from Ambrose he was saying that he was carrying a burden of the Shield, of the company and all that stuff. It all works.

I'll say this though: by Summer next year Ambrose is going to be in the Universal title picture and he'll have honed in on this character to a level where people say "ok, yeah I thought that old stuff wasn't good but Ambrose is great now." Remember this post. I was looking through this thread and I HAD to remind you you said this.

Every week since he’s turned heel. Such a waste of a guy. Bless Vince’s 73 year old ass mind. The foresight lol.

But on that same token, I thought Ambrose still would have been with the company by this time and wouldn't have changed gimmicks. He went from this gimmick to a heel with no gimmick to a face with no gimmick to face Shield Ambrose all in a matter of 4 months. With that said yeah, it seems I was right about WWE changing his original heel gimmick from the documentary. Sad that they had a documentary with that entire character scrapped all because of one guy. Such great material.

I haven't seen a single clip of this but it sounds absurd in the best of ways, especially when combined with our fanon of him being a hobo. Dumbass Pig.

And the sad part is Mox is the kinda performer to NOT let you see that. He was trying to make it seem like he was working the stuff. And we could still see the utter pain he was in.

stuff like this is why I never really buy into the lifer claim for anyone. Never really know what's going on behind the scenes and when someone may hit their breaking point.
