Maybe I missed it, but did our favorite screwing aunt and nephew ever actually explain how they were supposed to feed a ginormous army and the people of Winterfell AND 2 dragons?

The show is still enjoyable, but this episode really demonstrates how slapdash the writing's become. Theon's rescue came across anti-climatic because they have to get him back to Winterfell as quickly as they can, the dialogue feels less deliberate & more about being snappy, and it the series seems to use fanservice via reunions and such as a replacement for making character's motivations coherent. I've seen complaints about the slow pacing of events, but if anything the travel speed of characters alone suggests a writing team desperately trying to squeeze in a bunch of stuff happening at once because they simply didn't give themselves enough time for the plots to develop. The stronger actors (Headey, Allen, Cunningham) still make their scenes work through the strength of their performances, but the Stark family elements feel weaker because the likes of Turner and Harrington can only do so much with what they're given. stark family conversation: Sansa: * stares slighty snobby* Jon: * stares slight confused* Arya: * stares slightly smug* Brann: * stares blankly*

I managed to catch the episode this morning (Thanks, HBO Go!) and am only on a short break at work, so very quick thoughts.
I enjoyed this immensely, but thought the last two scenes should have been switched, with the burning of the wee little wight lord making a stronger impact as the end of the episode.

Current running joke among fans is Bran sitting in the archway 24/7 and dropping truth bombs on everyone that walks by. It's hilarious.

Season 1 Episode 1 ends with Bran's fall. I think it is a perfect callback for this to end with Jamie and Bran face to face. Daenerys's arrival to Winterfell also is a nice callback to the arrival of King Robert.

I still haven't gotten over how our 'heroes' somehow lost a 3-0 Dragon lead.

Just a reminder that Ellaria Sand is still in the dungeon watching her daughter decompose.

Just a reminder that Ellaria Sand is still in the dungeon watching her daughter decompose. Bronn should have stormed the dungeon and saved the most beautiful woman in the world from dying via poison. He disappointed me.
Don't really care about Ellaria though, she was kinda... Annoying.

Yes, it was pretty much the first thing Sansa said to Daeny as a serious concern. The Dothraki explained to Daeny that the dragons weren't eating a lot anyway. They only ate 17 sheep, 8 goats, 3 giraffes and a herd of buffalo.

My favourite part of this episode was realising that Bran waited outside all day in the Winter just to troll Jaime
