Tom. Jerry was a dick in general more than the rest of the predator/prey based cartoons. Wait... also Sylvester. Tweety was annoying as hell.

I've always been iffy on Matsuda but it was fitting none the less I mean I get the whole it wasn't just Near who defeated Light as he needed Mello to play his role too but still both of them imo didn't match up to L and it simply came down to them wanting to play more dirty with kidnapping and some mind games
I enjoyed then and just as Near said, neither of then were good enough to catch Light.Even L lacked something. But I still cant justify for after L's death Kira, before it they were basically rivals. But without L to keep him in check he started to have a god complex. Light was always going to be out of control though. The moment he touched he found the Death Note he was f***ed and L as a rival only made it worse It was spoken on before that if Light never found the death note he would have had a very simple life in regards to being a stand out at the police force and possibly could have been the next L

My ex loved Once Upon a Time and I always rooted for Rumpelstiltskin...I only saw the first few seasons but the actor was great And then him being the center of EVERYTHING got annoying. Regina was much cooler. I think you can name lots of 80s slashers here. Jason especially since he was written with attempts at shades of grey anyway. I am currently watching 1989's "Elves," and I hope... {Spoiler} the mother gets hers after killing the cat.

It was very easy to root for Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger in Black Panther. In a counter-example, I found myself rooting for Daniel Day-Lewis’ character in Gangs of New York because Leo’s character came off as kind of a whiny bitch.
I agree with Scar. Simba is a terrible suitor and protagonist.
Kylo. Particularly in TLJ. Stupid Rey.
There’s tons others I’m having a hard time remembering.

I, woof, I seriously hope this is more a "this actor was very interesting" thing and not, "I think he was the real good guy!", or else some of these listed give me serious pause.
To a degree, I sympathized with Tony in Civil War, even if I think he was still ultimately in the wrong. It's at least not like the comics, where he his character's motivations made no sense, and had movie Tony not gotten so popular, Stark was basically the least popular main character of Marvel. I really can't stress enough how much comic fans were sick of his shit, especially since it came from a character who gets manipulated, mind-controlled, or loses control of his faculties without anyone's help more than almost anyone in comics.
I know she was certainly not a villain, but Julie in Friends was an unwitting antagonist for Rachel by being with Ross. But, as much of a tool as Ross is, Julie seemed to have more potential for a lasting relationship, more in common, and as we'd see, Rachel would have just been a lot better off. As would Ross, to be honest. They were terrible for each other.

The Americans, if the Jennings count as bad guys, I suppose they were more anti-heroes. Well Phillip anyway, Elizabeth was too far gone.
I loved Continuum because the good charachters were fighting for the wrong side so you essentially had full permission to hope the terrorists won. Really interesting dynamic.

Also, Carlton Banks was 100% on point about the Trix Rabbit. Where in the U.S. Constitution or the Ten Commandments does it say that bunnies cannot eat fruity cereals?

Wile E. Coyote always.
He should have just sued Acme for all their defective products.

Unless it's cheating if he's up against an antihero and not an actual good guy?

Would watching Press Your Luck and rooting for the Whammies count? The Rottens did win at least once. My answer? Scream 3. By then, I had more than my fill of Arquette, Cox and ESPECIALLY Neve.

Are Patsy and Edina technically the bad guys?
I guess you can count the various versions of Edmund Blackadder too.

I rooted for Scar in "The Lion King" because it was ridiculous that Simba was next in line over him. He only did what was necessary to prevent his birth right from being ripped away from him by things that he had no control over. He was shown to be a bad king, but that was because Mufasa and his father only trained Mufasa to be King and he was forced to learn on the job. Also, he engineered peace with the hyenas. What could possibly be wrong with two opposing sides deciding to come together for the greater good? I have two problems with this line of logic. 1. In regards to your point about Simba being next in line: that's how succession has worked for hundreds of years. The first-born son is first in line, second-born is second, etc. etc., and if the first-born has children, they are automatically higher in the line of succession than the second-born. Should Scar have been a regent until Simba came of age? Maybe, but even then, that probably should have been Sarabi's position as Mufasa's mate. 2. Scar didn't really "make peace" with the hyenas. They were effectively his hired goons who followed him under promises of positions of power in his new regime. And the two sides didn't really "come together". The hyenas overran the Pride Lands, ate all the food, and left nothing for the lions of Pride Rock or the other animals. They were more of a burden on the Pride Lands than anything.

NOPE CAN'T HAVE THAT!
