What are stories or shows that you rooted for the bad guy or hoped that they would win
Still say Near shouldn't have been to defeat him at the end

Watching S3 of Daredevil and I can't help but cheer for Kingpin because Vincent D`Onofrio is so good and charismatic in the role.
He is Kingpin in the same way Hugh Jackman is Wolverine. Just a perfect casting choice.
Pokémon I always wanted Team Rocket to win. Arbok and Wheezing were cool. I liked the episodes where they actually got a chance to look competent. Like the Princess Festival episode where Jessie kicks ass, and the Paras episode where Team Rocket do what Ash couldn't and get Paras tough enough to evolve.

Kinda. Yeah. Like, after L, Near and Mello was just plain underwhelming. That said, it was rather satisfying to see Matsuda shoot Light multiple times. And the anime ending sequence where Light runs away before getting offed was a bit too melodramatic. Also, just wanted to post this.

First time I watched Jurassic World I wanted the dinos to eat every human except for Starlord
Ok I take that back I guess I lied. I liked the nerd chick in the command center and the dude wearing the old JP shirt that was hitting on her. They were cool too

The villain in Kung Fu Panda really got screwed over by everyone he knew and loved and was then brutally murdered after being made defenceless. Not counting the years he was held captive and repeatedly humiliated by sadistic guards. I really don't know why we were supposed to support Jack Black in that film.

None. I want the character who was created to be the protagonist and who represents societal values to suceed.

The Rancor & The Acklay in general if there is a giant monster that isn't sentient I want it to win.

In Batman (1989) I think The Joker is a way more interesting character than Bruce Wayne/Batman and he's the only character in the movie I like and cheer for.

I mean I get the whole it wasn't just Near who defeated Light as he needed Mello to play his role too but still both of them imo didn't match up to L and it simply came down to them wanting to play more dirty with kidnapping and some mind games

I ended up supporting Venger in 'Dungeons and Dragons'; the kids had loads of chances to get home and either sacrificed it to help someone or thought they'd have a further option down the line.
With stupidity like that, no wonder I lost patience with them and cheered on Venger.

I rooted for Scar in "The Lion King" because it was ridiculous that Simba was next in line over him. He only did what was necessary to prevent his birth right from being ripped away from him by things that he had no control over. He was shown to be a bad king, but that was because Mufasa and his father only trained Mufasa to be King and he was forced to learn on the job. Also, he engineered peace with the hyenas. What could possibly be wrong with two opposing sides deciding to come together for the greater good?

I remember rooting for Nathan Fillion in the last season of Buffy. All the characters he was killing were annoying as shit.

I enjoyed then and just as Near said, neither of then were good enough to catch Light.Even L lacked something. But I still cant justify for after L's death Kira, before it they were basically rivals. But without L to keep him in check he started to have a god complex.
