Paige’s exit was rather nice. She was not ousted for being incompetent like Corbin. She wasn’t thrown in a garbage truck. Wasn’t publicly “fired” by a McMahon or the new GM. It was like “she did a good job, the roster sang her praises and she was moved to a different thing once the McMahon family decided to “shake up” the company due to Raw’s Incompetence.
Usually these things end badly for these characters.
I can only think of Ecw Tiffany who pretty much left on a positive. Sure the brand was cancelled, but they didn’t say it’s because the show sucked, it was to make way for NXT.
Edit: oh yeah Daniel Bryan of course! Left because he was finally cleared to wrestle

Gorilla Monsoon's exit was pretty graceful as I recall.

Slaughter? It was stated that he stepped down voluntarily to allow HBK to take over.
For that matter, didn't Shawn basically hand the position over to Foley?

Written out (in a WWF Magazine article) as being a crook who was taking payoffs from DiBiase and was fired for it. Gorilla Monsoon's exit was pretty graceful as I recall. As an authority figure? I.........actually don't recall how he left that role. He was mentioned as "interim president" for a long while, then they just dropped interim, and then faded off TV a bit before the time McMahon's character amped up. I recall a segment where Gorilla was getting a LOT of boos for being the head honcho, and I did not care for that at all - so maybe my brain just erased whatever memories of Gorilla stepping down existed...

How did John Laurenitis step down? Funkman was fired on air if I recall. Fired by Vince after Big Show lost a cage match to John Cena, then beaten up by Cena on Raw the next night.

Regal exit wasnt gracefully but wasnt humilating either.
Wa sjust kinda...too real and sad if I remember right.Since he had to be suspended for the drug use, they just fired him and his last shot was leaving the building while looking back sadly

IIRC, Gorilla brought in Slaughter to be the trouble shooting commissioner because of all the insanity going on in '97.

To the best of my recollection, around the time they introduced Slaughter as Commissioner during the summer of 97, they just quietly announced his retirement on TV. No big send-off, just a brief, respectful acknowledgment.

Adamale kinda left on his own accord, didn't he? Yep. Then Steph made a bunch of potshots at him that looked terrible in retrospect when you consider he was working in spite of severe brain damage.

No big send-off, just a brief, respectful acknowledgment. That's fair. He left around the time everything was getting nuts, so this was probably the best way to handle it.

I hate authority figures They take over the show and the storyline is the same rehashed garbage since Vince did it with Austin. Bischoff was good cause he ran WCW so it was believable.... That’s it. I just can’t believe someone like Paige and Baron Corbin are booking the matches lol. It’s ridiculous.

Dusty left NXT gracefully despite having the entire shit beaten out of him on the main roster.

I just remember the beating from vader and the next time I saw him was “that” wrestle mania.
