You know you're in strong favor with Vince when he has a promo like that with you and lets you lay him flat out.
That was a really awesome segment. AJ looked like a million bucks and that was Vince's best promo in awhile. We need more of THAT Vince to come out for these shows to get better, I hope we get it.

I loved it. When Vince has something to do, he’s one of the best. That segment was aces.

OK, I need context here. How does Styles go from respectful brand-carrying babyface to “I’M-A PUNCH AN OLD MAN IN THE FACE” in the space of literally minutes? Vince goaded him into saying he was going soft and complacent and wanted to see that fire AJ had once before reignite again. He slapped him, and AJ forearmed him down. He was essentially begging AJ to hit him. Vince was smiling as he was helped off the ground. |

I absolutely loved that segment and the multiple possibilities that can come from it. It felt like something the REAL Vince McMahon would do to a superstar and made AJ out to be a badass that ultimately proved to Vince that he still has that fire and killer instinct about him.
Between this, Cena’s return, the women’s tag titles, Becky, Drew/Dolph in a cage, Mustafa’s comeup, heel Daniel, possibly face Miz, and the use of different tag teams, next week and 2019 are shaping up to be something for sure.

Does this lead to Cena v Styles? Because I don’t want that. I don’t even want them to triple threat with Bryan. Let Bryan have his own title match.
I’m good with anything else. This Styles vs Orton could be good.

I gotta say, Vince being a huge AJ fan is something I never saw coming. He’s everything Vince ususally doesn’t go for: smaller, big name from the indies, wasn’t homegrown. Yet he’s been pretty protected since day one and between the title reign and tonight it’s obvious Vince is a huge fan. It’s been a really pleasant surprise.
