I don't get the bathroom one. I shower late at night a lot, but I, you know...turn the light on. Who showers in the dark? Power outages. Like, I could bring a candle or a flashlight, but the minimal light kinda makes it more unsettling. Kinda tied in to the mirror thing.

I freak out every time I close my car door while the cars running and I think I will be locked out.
That weird dvd processed by thing that used to be on every dvd after the movie, I can’t find it online. That thing always freaked me out and I would have turn off movies as soon as the credits started.

I’m also afraid of vast, deep bodies of water. There’s a word for it: Thalassophobia.
It’s not so much a fear of water; it’s a fear of even the remotest possibility that there may be nasty, large, vicious sea monsters lurking within a body of water, particularly the ocean or sea, but maybe also a lake or pond.
Hell, I can’t even go into a swimming pool alone, because I get a weird fear that if I swim into the deep end, a kraken will reach out and grab me with its tentacles and devour me.

Swimming pools are no problem for me. Even rivers and the first dozen or so metres off the beach don't bother me. Any body of water that I can not only not see the bottom of, but also contain any type of freaky life form, life-threatening or not? f*** no. It extends to flying, as well. I don't have a fear or flying or of the airplane I'm in crashing. I do have a fear that the plane I'm in crashes into an ocean and that I might somehow survive.

I have a fear of heights which of course isn't unusual at all. However I've noticed 2 things about it:
1. I only seem to be afraid of heights when on man-made structures. I could stand on the edge of a cliff and it doesn't kick in. Maybe I don't trust human engineering?
2. The open space above stairs with it's high ceiling seems to set me off specifically. It's almost as if I'm afraid that the ceiling is going to come falling down on me since there is such a large open area with nothing in it.

Some video game glitches freak me out. So much so I actually have to leave down the control.

Another thing I've noticed about myself recently... not a fear but a habit?
Whenever I drive somewhere, I feel the need to take the same path back home.

Though aside from the possibility of big sea creatures there's also the small sea denizens that make me shudder. Poisonous jellyfish and that kind of thing. I really enjoy watching documentaries that detail the deep sea and the sea in general. I just don't wanna get near those big bodies of water. The shore is on one side and on the other is this big void of darkness where man was physically not meant to survive in? No thank you.

Lamprey. They’re like something from a horror movie.
