I'd post the Tweet, but I don't wanna. Long story short, I'm hoping he's working Main Event Monday night so he went 52 weeks without a match on RAW.

Man, I feel for the guy. He’s over, has a gimmick and is a decent wrestler. There’s no excuse for him to not be booked... even in a midcard role.
Plus the guy collects wrestling figures like myself. I have a soft spot for Zack.

I'm saddened we didn't really get the Mojo / Ryder feud. Think that's why Raw sucks now.
Imagine the ratings if we got main events of Ryder / Mojo with special guest ref Baron Corbin?

Zack Ryder complaining online?
Well, I never!

He’s very much like Ziggler just with zero push they complain a lot about how their not being used properly yet they sign a contract the second it’s offered so it’s hard to feel bad for them no one is forcing them to sign these contracts they could not sign and go someplace else and prove they deserved better but that’s hard and not as fun as complaining.

Nah.
I think people just expect every WWE guy that isn’t being used to be unhappy with their position, but Ryder’s still living a good life. Getting paid, buying toys, the podcast seems to be taking off. Success outside WWE isn’t guaranteed either.

I really have no clue why they won't give Ryder some kind of midcard prominence. He's still generally decently over and he's just gotten better as a performer over time. I'm not saying give him the WWE title but he sure as hell more warrants screentime than, like, a Baron Corbin.

Unfortunate WWE didn’t lean into his popularity, but he’s making a living doing what he loves. We should all be so lucky.

I mean I’m sure he’d love to be featured more prominently, but I don’t think he’s bitter about it. I happened to hear his interview on Lilian Garcia’s podcast, and he had a good perspective on the whole situation. Seems like his life is fine.

I liked Breeze answering Ambrose's open challenge a couple weeks ago, they should at least have Ryder do the same.

Thing with Zack Ryder is he's a good wrestler, not a great one. There's just simply a lot of guys that are better then him that are already getting pushed or are more deserving in getting one then him. I think they could give him more of a role but there's so many other people that are underutilized that have more potential then him that it's hard for me to get too broken up about it.

I bet more than a few guys backstage took note of just how quickly Damien Sandow torpedoed his career and decided it's better getting paid to not be used and be the Internet underdog than be exposed that badly out on their own.

They push a lot of good wrestlers. They push a lot of nearly good wrestlers. There are also a lot of good wrestlers who get a main event push, which makes them seem like great wrestlers, even though they are good wrestlers. Sometimes good wrestlers main event Wrestlemania four times in a row, and we accept them being worthy of their spot by default. Zack's been a consistently over guy for a while who doesn't mess up and has solid merch potential. Is he really less deserving of a decent push after all this time?

Funny thing is I wouldn't even call myself a Ryder fan, but if Apollo Crews can get TV time then so can he.

He's in the right spot. He doesn't offer anything that isn't already done better by those being used, however badly.

That's what you get for actually daring to grab that brass ring they're always blathering on about.

I feel for him because he got legitimately hard done by the WWE, though as a fan, few guys do less for me than he does.

It's true, people will point to that one promo with Punk and Bryan as the reason he didn't belong and I still don't get why it had to be main event or bust. Not everyone's cut out for the main event and that's fine, you need over midcard acts like Ryder too.
