1. Smackdown 4 Shut Your Mouth . Amazing game, heck of a roster for its time, great create a wrestler mode. Also the gameplay is amazing and surpasses the year befores game.Sadly kinda does not get its due to hctp. 2. Wrestlemania 2000. Amazing fun game truley captures One of WWE's hottest years perfectly 3. Smackdown vs RAW 2006. Alot of fun to play and probally one of the best from the smackdown vs raw series. 4. Smackdown vs Raw 2011. It gets some hate but for me I really enjoyed the game. It came out at a weird time it is before Daniel Bryan Shield etc. But it is really fun. 5. WWE All Stars. Love this game alot and still play it. I enjoy the Arcade feel to it. Reminds me of WWF wrestlefest. 6. WCW Revenge. The Ultimate WCW game other then flair it reads off like a who's who of WCW . Great game that still holds up. 7 WWE 13. Love this game alot, Great game play and roster. Love the attitude era aspect to it. 8 Smackdown vs Raw. I remember being very excited for this game. Especially because it was Bret Harts first appearance in a wwe game. 9 Smackdown vs Raw 2009. I really liked this game. The gameplay was alot of fun and it had a fun story mode 10. Virtual Pro wrestling 2. I am a huge Muta fan so I loved this game
What is everyone else favourites

I'll work on my list later (specifically it will read like a 'top wrestling games that I personally had fun with over the years of being a gamer' list).
I just wanted to chime in now that I agree with the sentiment that SYM is indeed just as good as HCTP, if not very close.

In no particular order..
Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 - Only just been playing this recently, but it is absolutely brilliant. Fantastic gameplay, huge roster and simple, yet deep edit mode
Virtual Pro Wrestling 64 - For the longest time I played the Western version 'World Tour', but the expanded roster and edit mode make this superior. Again, the gameplay and roster are great.
Smackdown 2 - The first wrestling game that I just could not put down. It had everything I could want. Awesome season mode, the best CAW mode up to that point, fast exciting gameplay, up to date roster and tonnes of modes.
Smackdown 3 - This, unfortunately was released in between the far superior editions in the Smackdown series but it's a great game in it's own right. Another big, varied roster and a fun story mode.
Smackdown 4 - This was my favourite wrestling game for years. It took everything that Smackdown 2 did right and took it so much further.
WWE Day of Reckoning - The roster isn't the greatest overall but some of the best are included. The gameplay and story mode are fresh, the graphics are superb and it has my favourite soundtrack of any wrestling game.
WWF Attitude - I loved this as a kid and still like to play it from time to time. I like the career mode and having to work house shows and Shotgun tapings before making your way to Raw. Another deep roster and some great customising and match modifiers.
WCW Nitro - Always loved this game despite it's many flaws.
WWE '12 - Another game I spent a lot of time playing after I first got it. For me it's the last great modern wrestling game. I love the roster and all the various modes.
Wrestlemania x8 - An underrated game to say the least. It has a sizeable roster, a variety of matches and modes and a simple CAW mode. No career mode, just a case of winning match after match to win belts and unlockables. Simple and fun.

It's hard to remember which games were which, but some I do love were...
Saturday Night Slam masters for sure-that was the first one that really blew me away after just being thankful to play any wrestling games
The Legends of Wrestling series-for its roster-I didn't like the fact that they used modern moves, otherwise it would have been my favorite by far
The first Smackdown game where you could fight in different areas and insert your caws into storylines, if that was even the same game. I remember Freddy Krueger jumping Mr. T in a parking lot-crazy stuff
WCW-nWo Revenge. Really loved the games that came out on the Nintendo 64
Wrestlemania 2000-again for the 64 and probably my favorite WWF game for a long time
Firepro wrestling returns-does it really need an explanation?
WWE Legends of Wrestlemania-LOVE this game so much-a lot of it again has to do with the roster
My absolute fave is WWE 2k14-I just got a ps3 from a friend and it seems like 12-16 are roughly the same when it comes to options, but this is probably the last great 80s roster. I don't know if any game will ever surpass this for me

1. HCTP. Best fighting engine ever.
2. SYM. Best story mode ever.
3. WCW vs nWo world tour. Because of the memories from Kevin Nash having a knockout punch.
The rest of the list don’t matter.

FPR (ps2) and probably forever ..... having an actual copy of the game in the UK will also count but emulated now to GREAT success! HCTP (ps2) still the best one and funny too, can't get enough of beating up rhikishi and hillbilly jim and george steele! SvR (ps2) best for me making my CAWS WWF WarZone (ps1) went completely into it and printed off all the moves for each character SFPWXP(translated) (snes) + sfhack + pretty much every save file still on the internet = WINNING probably heard me lamenting the loss of THIS Rock'n Wrestle (zx spectrum) CCCRRRZZZ WWF Wrestlefest (arcade) me beating the royal rumble with crush WITHOUT KNOWING HOW TO THIS DAY is still a gaming highlight for me Extreme Warfare (pc) had fun, couldn't play it for toffee, always played the wrestlers not the numbers! Cutie Suzuki no Ringside Angel (megadrive) lovely little game WWF Raw (snes) first time thinking up storylines ..... AND MY OWN IMAGINATION!!!

Those are fun, I got one of those too.

I don't think I can pick ten but I'll list some of my favourites.
Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth is in my opinion the best of the series, quick fast paced action, brilliant graphics that hold up today, very in depth CAW mode and Season was awesome. Every subsequent Smackdown game got progressively worse until 2007 which was unplayable.
Extreme Warfare Revenge speaks for itself. It's the classic wrestling booking game and while TEW has overtaken it, I still play EWR regularly.
Smackdown 2 took everything fun about the first game and expanded it and made it even more enjoyable.
WCW vs The World was a bit of a disappointment to me when I was younger and there was hardly any of the WCW/NWO roster but looking back, this was a really fun game.
I also enjoyed WCW Nitro, WWF Attitude and ECW Hardcore Revolution.

1. Smackdown Shut Your Mouth - The pinnacle of the arcade style game, built on everything that came before and worked as one amazing package. And what a roster. It shows how ridiculously stacked the talent in the company was post-Invasion. And the nL boys have made me love this game even more.
2. WWE 2k17 - The first game where I really felt like I had total control and could make everything my own. CAWs, arenas, shows, logos, entrance videos, it all just came together. Not perfect, and the last few games have refined it even further and added to the roster and moves, but I feel like in those editions I've been trying to play catch up with what I achieved in that game.
3. Fire Pro Wrestling World - I'm not going to pretend I'm good at anything to do with Fire Pro, the timing still baffles me, but it's fun with a good sense of match progression, and I love just how many customisable characters you can slot into the game with minimal effort. It's insane.

I'm surprised that this fantastic game with its equally fantastic cover has yet to be mentioned... It's been wonderful to see the revival of the Fire Pro series in the last few years, but I hope we'll one day see another 3D Puroresu game of the quality of KOC2. My top 101. EWR/TEW (With all of the wonderful mods and the endless possibilities. I'll be happily giving time to these games for the rest of my life) 2. WWE 2K19 (I pick this simply as it's the latest incarnation. The perks of the 2k games always outweigh the negatives and it entertains me every year) 3. Fire Pro World (I pick World as it's the latest and the best. But shout outs to Super Fire Pro X Premium, Fire Pro D and Fire Pro Returns) 4. King of Colosseum 2 5. WWF No Mercy (Wrestlemania 2000 prior to this was fantastic also) 6. WCW/nWo Revenge 7. Def Jam Vendetta 8. WWF Wrestlefest 9. Giant Gram 2000 10. WWE Day of Reckoning 2 (it was this or WWF Attitude) I also have to mention WCW Mayhem. It wasn't a great game by any stretch, but it had commentary from Bobby Heenan and Tony Schiavone that was far ahead of the standard that other American wrestling games were delivering at the time.
