Tell me the great matches that are overlooked in WWE history.
I'm watching a match right now which I will always remember, now it might not sound like anything special. The match that you should watch is Shelton Benjamin vs Christian at Survivor Series in 2004.
Superb performance from a young and hungry Shelton and Christian was someone I never really rated but he did great in this so many back and forth little exchanges the heel didn't just dominate all the way through like most typical matches of today. Offense was equal and the pace was really good. I enjoyed it as much as the first time I watched it.

Dunno if great, but definitely very good. Paul Burchill vs Evan Bourne on ECW.
Sticking with ECW, Dreamer and Delaney vs Miz and Morrison in an extreme rules match was a lot of fun.

Sheamus vs Tensai - Raw 6/11/12
Sheamus played to his strengths perfectly. They had great chemistry, but I believe this is the one my fellow Tensai-sympathizers point to as what the character could have been.

The series of matches between Michael Mcgillicutty and Tyson Kidd on NXT Redemption were great. Nice old school style feud. Sticking with the theme, Tyson Kidd vs Trent Barrett a from Redemption.

Graves vs Rollins lumberjack match, not a classic but a good curiosity, a few first/early tv appearances amongst the lumberjacks.
Mr nxt vs Zayn
Regal vs Ohno Regal vs Cesaro Regal vs Benoit on velocity used to get a mention in these threads but is a hard watch now with all the blows to the head.
Bayley vs Eva Marie. Bayley vs AJ Lee is another that's just interesting to look back at even if it's not that great.
Money Inc vs Steiners cage match.

Festus vs Undertaker is one of those matches that make you wonder what could've been since they turned him into boring Luke Gallows

A couple from the same show and the only things worth seeing from Fall Brawl 95.
Pillman vs Johnny B Badd and Flair vs Arn.

I always point to this one.
Randy Orton vs Dolph Ziggler on August 29 2011 Raw. It's a throw away opening match but the crowd are hot, Ziggler really gives it his all and Orton is completely motivated. It made me a fan of both men who I'd been very apathetic about for a while.
Definitely worth a watch.

The tragedy of Over the Edge 1999 understandably overshadowed it for a lot of reasons but...
...the opener of Kane & X-Pac vs Mark Henry and D-Lo is a great last glimpse at just how unbelievably hot the Attitude Era crowds were. Their way the audience is controlled in this bout is really incredible.

The cruiserweight 6 man match that opens Royal Rumble 2006 is really fun. It’s Gregory Helms, Funaki, Kid Kash, Paul London, Jamie Noble and Nunzio.
Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle in the Summerslam 2002 opener is super fun. My favorite short match ever.
The Rock vs. Eddie Guerrero on the 7/22/02 RAW for the undisputed title.

Edge vs. Eddie Guerrero - No DQ on SD, 9/26/02
Seriously one of my favorite matches of all time. Maybe it isn't really a hidden gem, but I don't really see it get talked about.

I remember absolutely loving Punk vs Regal in the finals of King of the Ring. Rewatched it and while its only about 5 minutes its totally brutal and awesome

Scotty 2 Hotty Vs. Dean Malenko for the Light Heavyweight Championship at Backlash 2000.
For my money, the best match on a card that was filled with great matches.

Scotty 2 Hotty Vs. Dean Malenko for the Light Heavyweight Championship at Backlash 2000. For my money, the best match on a card that was filled with great matches. Probably the only time Dean Malenko really got to be Dean Malenko in his brief WWF tenure.

Sheamus had a fun feud with Goldust on WWECW in 2009.
Bob Orton Jr vs. Pedro Morales had an entertaining brawl of a feud in 1985. Especially at the Boston Garden. They'd tear up the weird barriers outside the ring.
Bob Backlund vs. Sgt. Slaughter, 2/14/81. Sarge bumping around for him like a champ, Bob gets pissed and breaks a hole in a ringside table, swearing up a storm he wants Sarge back in the ring. ("GET HIS ASS BACK IN HERE! I'M SICK OF HIS SHIT! I WANT THAT SONUVABITCH BACK OUT HERE!") Kal Rudman on commentary having to get up on the ring apron to calm him down.
Heck, ANY Sarge match at this time was great. Even a match against Ivan Putski. Fans went apeshit for "Polish Power" and hated Sarge just as much. 11 minutes, maybe 2 minutes of actual action. Screw workrate, this was all psychological at it's best. The crowd made this such fun.

Festus vs Undertaker is one of those matches that make you wonder what could've been since they turned him into boring Luke Gallows its f***ing weird because the Luke gallows character even in the SES in theory was a better character and look. but it seemed like he lost his awesome hoss style. But I admit I loved Festus. Just this mindless scary redneck monster that manages to care about his friend. It was one of those gimmicks that sound stupid but just works.

The Sheephearders vs. The Fantastics -Crockett Cup '86 -The Sheep guys are the Bushwhackers. Yes, those Bushwhackers. And like most people, I've known them just down under morons who licked and whacked. Now people say Pre-WWF, they were a great brawling team and The Fantastics, I feel, is an underrated 80s Babyface team. Now the match: it's 10mins of brawling insanity. Just 4 guys not giving a f***, sure the ending is Double DQ, but the action is great.
